LOL

It's been a year since I first watched this documentary. I keep coming back to it and even used clips of it for personal work. there is something about it the captivates me. it is like being transported to a foreign but very familiar world. one with great colors in a very grim life. it made me realize to be thankful for where I am now and also to take inspiration from works of the past and to see how much more colorful jeepneys were before my time. thank you very much for making this almost 40 years ago and posting it in the internet so that a youth like my self may enjoy it. this documentary has made a huge impression on me and what I want to do with my life.

Jeepneys nowadays are more than cool. They are now rad and more stylish-looking with a turbo installed. But they are mostly seen outside Manila.

The best way to watch this probably, is without subtitles. it becomes more like a film than it is a documentary and having to rely on visual cues to understand the film and maybe even catch a few details upon re-watching. old documentaries are amazingly rewatchable

First, Sarao Motors is still open and still producing jeepneys and other things. Second, half of the jeepneys have Japanese engines that are NOT surplus. And third, REAL modern jeepneys should look like a jeep itself, like a Wrangler Rubicon or an FJ Cruiser.

navyblue 79 That is why jeepney modernization should still embed the iconic jeepney design, not some minibus-looking jeep that has no character. I'm all for jeepney modernization so long that it does continue to adopt its design, will not impede the livelihood of the operators and will not allow corporations to monopolize transportation.

This is one of an example why the filipinos especially those who live in poverty still in poverty. Why because of their habits having some time to spend to their vices rather than their needs at that time until now. This is why they are in that stagnant flow of life, until now many citizen living in poverty still doing this practices some atlease they woke up in reality. And sometimes we dont have the rights to blame our government, if in ourself and our families, we dont have any dicipline and atlease positive thingking for our better future.
