Community outreach is so important. Young kids idolize these guys, and the Canucks have done a great job of producing humble players who are never ‘too good’ for stuff like this. Classy work, as always.

I understand that it may not be your intention but I wouldn’t necessarily call this young man lucky. Losing his father at such a young age isn’t lucky. I mean he described losing his father as “the worst day of his life”. I’m willing to bet that he would trade every second of time with Markstrom to be able to get his father back.
