That's beautiful, thank you. As I'm sitting here wishing he was still with us, you gave me a little hope that he got what he wanted out of existence on this plane. What he did isnt leaving us because I'm still, since my mid teens about fifteen years ago, coming back to watch this master of guitar, voice, and poetry. I just hope he knew a fraction of the importance of the legacy he left behind. You were a total anamoly, Jeff. We still miss you and are still in awe of what you managed to accomplish in your short time here

Many believe his music to have a prophetic quality. Theorists consider the larger machine of the American music industry to be what drowned Jeff and they made it look like an accident. Doesn't help that he literally talks about how they will drown him, the farewells in many of his music, yet his being is not suicidal in the least. it seems to many artists that he was leaving clues behind for those who understand what it feels like to experience and express through art

@Greyson Myers Her point is that Jeff’s Estate could have published/released this footage several years ago, but it seems that they are just exploiting Jeff now for marketing reasons, as opposed to sharing their copious content out of a genuine desire to perpetuate Jeff’s legacy. That begs the question: Once this anniversary year passes, will Jeff’s Estate continue to upload more rare footage (they have plenty more, including 90 hours worth from Merri Cyr, alone), or will they go back to hoarding this material for several more years/decades, so that they can slowly milk his legacy for future generations? There’s no reason why Jeff’s Estate can’t upload whatever they have in their vaults. In fact, it is counterproductive to refrain from this, considering that Sony paid Merri Cyr $1 millions for her dozens of hours worth of footage. Why not upload that footage and make money off ads? That’s a win-win for everybody. The fans would finally get to enjoy this rare material and Sony could recoup some of that investment. As it stands, they just threw away $1 million dollars without making a cent of profit. From a business perspective, that is asinine. I don’t even understand Sony’s motive in acquiring said footage, at such a steep price - though, pennies to them - when there has been no effort made to attempt to compensate for that investment by making money in return.
