good luck w/ planting...may the conditions be in your favor.....just north of where I was raised in Madison parish La. there is a state park where the Choctaw/Chickasaw tribes originated. Ruins as old as the pyramids. Before the government designated it as an historical site, local farmers who owned land near it, bulldozed some of the mounds. Now there are still a lot of artifacts/arrow heads/clay cooking balls etc. found as tillage work is done. The site is Poverty Point, near Epps La.

In Western New York we set for 14in deep and fertilizer placement is at 10 in.. r16 row strip tiller..

Depends on the field. 9” strip till on a majority of it. The feedlots I check for where they have cattle grazing on wheat/rye all winter normally get disc ripped deep. 30-36” deep.

Here in Eastern North Carolina usually anywhere from 12-18+ in. Lots of Unverferth and kmc. Few 12 rows with planters attached with lift assist too.

I'd love to rip the ground 15-16".... but it would take a 700hp tractor to run that stripper that deep in mid Missouri. 😂

We run our strip till about 8 inches deep. Seems to be enough for us for our cotton.

In Georgia depending on the ground we rip 12 to as much as 20 inches with our KMC rigs. I have never run depth bands on the colters. Put a straight pipe on that 8430 drop that lift to the bottom and let her eat...

When I strip till ahead of corn were only going about 4 inches. I Never disturb the plow layer.
