Jeff Miller came to us post op with multiple complications which can be seen in our socket design. We had to maneuver around a few medical devices and procedures. As he's gotten stronger he's progressed to dual forearm crutches. The plan is to improve his strength and prosthetic trust then to improve his components.

Outstanding work by Prosthetic Innovations here! I am a 59 year young New Zealand male left leg trauma hemipelvectomy and have worn my prosthesis ever since my near-death motorcycle accident in 1990 when I was 26. However I am restricted to the number of hours my prosthesis can be worn for during a day due to socket discomfort. I have very little muscle mass left on my left lower torso. Therefore wearing my prosthesis has always been very difficult and frustrating over the 33 years using my prosthesis. A socket cannot be worn loose because the looser it is the less effective & efficient the 3 joints will function. The socket on my prosthesis is torqued up via twin snow ski boot bindings - an old antiquated system in my humble opinion. 1 click too loose or too tight and it's ineffective...that's how precise the torque level amount must be. Sitting is uncomfortable when the socket is torqued up for walking purposes. And when sitting it is simply too difficult a process to access the ski boot bindings through pants to loosen. Hence an antiquated torque system imho. This system for Jeff Miller looks most functional. Awesome work Prosthetic Innovations. 💯🦿👍👏
