Your time at Kentucky was quite special but to see Reed wearing your number brings chills to my soul. You and Stacey are great role models for young athletes and especially Reed. Thanks for the memories

I graduated high school in 84 being a lifelong resident and fan of Kentucky basketball I appreciate this video so much… just the names mentioned of the ky players at that era is special!!!! Jeff’s son Reed is already on fire as a freshman point guard … this year is going to be special!!! I feel it in my old 57 year old bones

Met Jeff at Apple Festival in Johnson County. I got two autographed uk shirts for my children and talked to him for a few minutes. The emotion of watching him always play great when we needed him the most just gave me chills. I told him we Kentuckians missed him playing and always hold him in very high regard. He’s just a class act. He and his wife and children seem like salt of the earth folks. It’s easy to pull for good people like them and I’m proud of them all.

After the semi-final game against Stanford, one of the Stanford assistants swore that Shep caught the ball coming off those screens, jumped, and squared himself in the air. I watched that game at a church dinner called "Dinner for Eight." The meal took place during the game. One of the wives was a maniacal UK fan and screamed each time Jeff sunk a three and led the comeback to put the Cats in the championship game.

I got to meet Macy at a UT game in Kville. Maybe 1994. Very nice. But then a few years later i was hired at WXJB in Middlesboro,KY . Then in Pineville, KY at the MT. Laurel festival in Pinevile ,KY i was able to interview Sheppard Live on air... (He was there as MC) As a die hard fan it was the best moment of my radio career . Jeff was so down to earth. Great guy. Im so glad he played for the BIG BLUE!!!

I was 7, 8 years old watching Shepherd, Mercer, Walker, Delk, Anderson, Mccarty, Padgett, Turner, Edward's, Epps n all those gr8s from 96 through 98 teams. Shepherd was 1 of my all time favorite players to watch and I love him even more now. He is Kentucky. Cant wait for Jeff 2.0 and wish he was gonna be playing next year with CJ Frederick's, and have 2 guys who are 'lights out' like his pops. Go CATS!

Jeff is such a gentleman and really understands what it means to represent uk. I just loved watching him play and to watch him be so humble no matter if he hit a game winner. Lol. And I saw Reed’s interview after the Stonehill game and he is just as humble. What great parents and just good people!!!

Sheppard played so well that run, He was so strong driving, made great decisions, played so hard for the fans, to me he was a mix of the past greats. He had macy, rex, and Johnny cox mix. I remember him getting up shots for most of that season at 5am. Preparing for that moment. I sometimes wonder if while shooting, if he too dreamed of being in that moment in final four. Sheppard from 30, Sheppard in lane, and his dunk on utah great guard, was the one to me. It was like all the momentum went big blue. I'm 20yrs older, I still shot dreaming I'm Sheppard. What a dream. Tubby had best coaching season I ever saw, in all years, all coaches anywhere. Tubby was genius, in greatest run ever. Comeback, all way home. Tubby always had right decisions. And it was against best in business. Here lately, I been thinking, Louisville should think about mr. Smith. Hes old, but I bet, hed be ready to go. And is way better, if he got a great recruiter. Because tubby can coach. I think, we need a tubby statue at locker room entrance, talking about comebacks. S pi team knows if there down, and down big. Also bogans injurie derailed tubby another championship. Bogans was tearing it up. Kentucky was number one. He was floor leader that year.

My first memory from Rupp arena as a kentucky kid and fan was from 1996 watching Sheppard slam a dunk home right before the half time buzzer against the "40 minutes of hell" arkansas team. #BIGBLUENATION

I graduated from McIntosh high in 1992 He was phenomenal basketball player. I watched him through high School. You would have to get there early to get a seat at the games. And he also had great character.
