Still don’t understand why these referees are such a protected species….they should have to front the media like managers and players do and explain the decisions made. Until they do, the suspicion will remain. As for VAR, it is ruining the game and needs to go…..😡

Agreed, the officials on the pitch are humans and at match speed will miss things and make mistakes. VAR was supposed to stop the clear and obvious errors. If it takes so long to reach a decision or changes something no one in the entire stadium is questioning, then it isn't a clear and obvious error. VAR should be a safety net tool for fairness to both teams. It isn't being used properly. The two teams closest to my heart, West Ham and Wolves have both been mugged by VAR repeatedly this season and it is beyond a joke now. You're analysis is pretty much what West Ham fan sites are saying, both in the this match, and across the season. VAR is not helping the game and is robbing the teams and the fans. It's good that the chairman is backing his club and fans.

I am almost of the opinion that money is changing hands somewhere and that there is deep set corruption amongst these referees. Maybe gambling going on behind the scenes. Because this is happening too often.

Nope, attacking players just need to not stand offside right in front of the keeper when an attempt is going towards goal. It's really not that hard to understand. If he'd been a yard to the left or right it would have stood but he deliberately takes 2 steps back towards the keeper to make sure he's blocking him. It's offside.

@@AlwaysWolves doesn't matter what those people think, under the rules it's offside 🤷‍♂️ especially ones like Ian Wright who said one of these was the correct decision when it went in Arsenal's favour, infact it wasn't as bad as the player wasn't 1 foot in front of the keeper, it was 10 yards. The game isn't officiated by managers or pundits trying to stay relevant. The ref and VAR only had the camera replays to go by and under the set rules he's offside, it really is as simple as that.

WHY cause we have lost 8 to 10 points from it this season all shocking decisions and we had a load last season too so its not just about this one VAR decision

If that needs explaining then they'd be there for hours explaining even the most basic rules of the game to people. What needs explaining about a player, deliberately taking 2 steps back in to an offside position, right in front of the keeper in an attempt to block his view/movement?

Nah mate, that changes nothing. We need full accountability for refs and not further excuses. But better yet, since every fan hates it, let's just scrap VAR altogether.
