I went with a 17 year old to Afghanistan. He came home safe and took his life at 23. I served beside a muslim who fought for his beloved United States and the gifts it gave his family who fled their homeland in the early 80's. My brothers of all walks of life serving this great and wonderful nation. We are not as divided as the media makes it seem. God Bless America Whoever you pray to, pray for our fallen and pray for their families.

HE WASIT 17 YOU CAN'T deploy till you are 18 I KNOW THIS BECOUSE YOU MUST HAVE A SERTIFIED BIRTHERTIFICAT TO JOIN AND IF YOU ARE 17 YOU PERINT HAVE TO SINE YOUR CONTRACT FOR YOU BECOUSE YOU CAN'T SINE FOR YOUR SELF! YOU WILL NOT DEPLOY TILL YOUR 18 BIRTHDAY. I KNOW THIS BECOUSE WE HAD 17 YEAR OLD IN ARE UITE IN 2003 HE COULD NOT COME TILL HIS 18th BIRTHDAY!

@@jeannettesilva4242 you are mistaken friend. No, military recruits do not have to wait until age 21 to be deployed. The minimum age to enlist in the U.S. military is 17 with parental consent, or 18 without parental consent. Once enlisted, recruits can be deployed to combat zones or other military operations as early as their initial training is complete, regardless of their age

@@jeannettesilva4242 if your unit made him wait till 18 that was a decision made at Brigade level or higher. US Army regulations do not prohibit 17 year olds from deployment

Days like this and songs like this remind me of all the soldiers from my family and even my son and all his brothers who he’s with. He makes less than minimum wage. I hope and pray he will be home before the “fit his the shan” as the awesome Toby Keith said. I love our military veterans and they deserve so much more. They don’t even get respect at home a lot of the time.

My dad lied , said he was 18 but was 16. 2 tours veitnam , 1 Korea. Served 20 yrs in the army. My brothers and I born and raised in the service

I come from 2 military families. My own, 1 son to Navy. Twin brothers on the Mr's family side, went down in Hawaii on the Arizona. Just 2 years ago, they found one's DNA. On my blood family side i had 2 uncles serve. I appreciate any and all service personnel who serve so we can stay free! THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE!🫡🫡🫡🫡🇺🇲🇺🇸

n Viet Nam I saw way to much killings 24 hours day and night, bombs, mine fields, the rain, the heat of the jungle, this was over 50 years ago, I am still a mess us kids at age 20 killing in Nam was a f.. nightmare. We came back to our country, who treated us like shit .For those of us who made it back to the USA, we were hated for doing a war job we were forced to do

Sir, I absolutely appreciate you and the ones that served. I pastor a small church in Mississippi. Sadly, one of my veterans from Nam told me that I was the first one that had ever done anything for them in recognition. What an absolute shame! I lost my uncle as a result of that hell hole. I’ve often wondered what life would have been like with him, as I was a child when he died. So, without apology, I thank every one of you who served. Most of this current generation do not understand that freedom is not free!
