It honestly makes me kind of sad that they really did ruin the beauty community because I still love watching beauty videos. Jeffree acting like he had no part in it is just really frustrating. 🤦🏻‍♀️

Jeffree is almost like a gang leader in a sense, when it comes to the beauty community. He brings new people with different fan bases in so he gets more views = more revenue. He makes collabs with these new people in his makeup brand to make profit, and then drags them down in the messy scrutiny that comes with every launch since Kat Von D. He’s been using these people almost as shields, he never learns. He’s like a higher up, it’ll slightly get to him, but it’s never fully a problem in his eyes. He has goons to fix his mess every time.

Why are people praising him? He is still a horrible person. He said so himself that he has crap on all of his friends that could ruin their careers. He's toxic and no one wants to be friends with him. Are we forgetting everything he did just because he was being "real" and "honest" in this podcast? Also, he IS still part of the beauty community. He still has a makeup brand and has launches still. Not making videos about makeup doesn't mean you're not apart of it anymore.

Jeffree 100% had a hand in the beauty community downfall on KZfaq. But beauty content is still popular, beauty gurus are thriving on TikTok and I think it's because the KZfaqrs were what was seen as toxic

Tati who I support and who was gone for a long while after dramagedon has returned to KZfaq and still makes make up content. If jeffree was truely as passionate as these two were about his artistry and the beauty community he wouldn’t be trashing it and saying its all drama. Idk, the dramageddon thing was ridiculous and I do think all of them had a part in it. However, it's hard to believe Tati because of how many times she flip flopped between Shane/Jeffree and then James and she contradicted herself multiple times. James has proven himself to be a disgusting person who likes young boys and trying to turn straight boys. Shane and Jeffree have their bad pasts but as far as Shane and Jeffree concerning dramageddon, they havent changed anything from their story and have always said the same things.

In a way, I believe that people didnt want to see them succeed genuinely. But whether this all came out in the heart to slander jeff and shane or not, it was bad. It was genuinely off putting to them and their brand and honestly due to how serious everything was its just a matter of ‘okay that could have not come out and would have still happened behind the scenes/would have never been called out’. It still happened. There are ways to move past something weighing on your mind without forgetting that it happened or blacking it out or even changing the story, and thats all many people want.

Tbh the beauty community @youtube is a little dead. Nothing exciting happens, no new looks/makeup challenges/ trendy makeup testing, and no new extremely popular makeup gurus. It feels super repetitive and almost every look 'has been done before', so it's kind of hard to stay creative and unique in the beauty community... I don't agree with everything Jeremiah Starfish says, but it feels dead to me too.

I only have one of his palletes, and maybe I got an old or something one, but I don't think it is that great. It's over priced and average. I also have one of his Velour Liquid Lips and again maybe it's old or something. It feels good but it dries down weird. It could be just me or the specific color. And it could just be the specific pallete. But atleast for me and those two products, they are over hyped and over priced. If he came down on the prices it would make more sense to me. Just my opinion, no hate please.

Trust me Jeffree, the beauty community is thriving without your toxicity. The beauty community is back to being what it was always about: the makeup. Not drama, not competition for who gets the most views. It’s now about the products, not the people behind them. And it’s so much better for it. What a freaking ego to think that because his brand isn’t on top that the entire community is dead. He really is completely detached from reality.

I mean I think Jeffrey to a point is correct on the beauty community being kind of over. You don’t see any beauty creators being talked about for their MUA skills anymore. But I don’t think the fizzling out is completely from the drama. While the drama definitely played a role I also think the audience just isn’t there as much anymore. A full face of glam makeup is becoming less popular in the younger generations and now an all natural look or a completely “exotic” face paint type look are the two norms. While that can and was represented in the beauty community at times before I think there is just a lot more individuality and creativity being used now by the younger generations who are wearing makeup that the beauty community had become too standardized to attract them.
