Күн бұрынHappy Halloween! This is not Glass Scientists fan art, just more book-accurate designs for the characters and how I imagined they looked like while reading the source material. This musical is one of my favorites and I worked really hard on this, so I hope you all enjoy! Let me know what you think in the comments, since comments are always welcome here!

Jekyll's eye colour changing to Hyde's, and then crawling on the floor in pain is so incredibly well done, I love it!!

Whenever I see a Jekyll and Hyde animatic I become a gremlin and watch it on loop, and this one is one of the most well done I have seen, I love it so much.

Man, this is the best animation from Jekyll and Hyde that I had seen. I could kill for Murder, Murder, Confrontation or Alive in your style.

Oh i LOVE this. This transformation is so good, i keep rewatching 3:17, it gives me chills !!! and the way he looks up at the mirror with fear, and then curiosity?? Your art matches the emotion in the vocals so well. I'm the colorist for TGS, so it's such a delight to see different takes on the designs for once

This animatic is SO well done😭 you convey Jeykll’s emotions so incredibly well. How unsure he looked before going through with the experiment, then the fear he had when it started to go wrong. Also- GOD DAMN THE VOICE IN THIS ONE😭😭😭 the change in eye color too- 10/10

I like the character design of Dr. Jekyll (Fun fact, his name is supposed to be pronounced Jeekyll according to the author, Robert Louis Stevenson). And I did enjoy the direction, would definitely do this if I hired you to direct an animated movie of the musical. I will say however Hyde’s design is disappointing. It looks too much like Jekyll. It would have been nice if you went more the book route and made him seem more like a troglodyte. I feel the definitive Hyde is the one from the 1931 movie. They even had his appearance change subtly over time to capture how no one could consistently describe how Hyde looked.

@@CHESShireCat How are you going to say Robert Louis Stevenson is wrong? He created the characters. If he says Jekyll’s name is pronounced Jeekull, then that’s the correct pronunciation. End of story.

@@KingNazaru I am being silly of course I know he’s the author. But also he’s dead and I can do what I want (for context Jekyll has been part of various usernames of mine since 2020 so I am not going to change the way I pronounce what is essentially my own name)

@@KingNazaru oh my god I looked at your account. Never mind I am not being silly anymore it is my genuine woman opinion that I don’t care what a dead white man said about his character’s name. Media can change over time and everyone who adapts it can choose what they want to keep. I’ll also say that this animatic is an animatic of the MUSICAL where Jekyll and Hyde are played by the same actor and the transformation happens on stage so yes of course they have the same face.

@@CHESShireCat So we’re finally seeing your true colors. You have to care about what the author said regardless of if he’s dead or not, because it’s still his story. I don’t believe you would enjoy having a story you worked rigorously on even when you were sick being unnecessarily changed to suit the whims of “creative” freedom. Also the musical is a musical. It doesn’t have enough of a budget to do the special effects of changing Jekyll’s appearance. Let alone the resources. An animation doesn’t have that restriction and can thus go further. This argument of yours is absurd. Also don’t take the Lord’s name in vain.
