Elena Obrazcowa! Wielkość! Tego typu głos jest niepowtarzalny ( niskie tony nie likwidują artykulacji i nie zamazują zdań ) - śpiewność wschodnia, akcentacja francuska, melodyka frazowania włoska. Brawo! Nagrania z Domingo są perłami fonograficznymi

Cette scène est incroyable, ce rôle est incroyable... Obratzova est le plus grand génie de la voix que je n´ai jamais entendu. J´ai eu la grande chance de la voir à Madrid dans la dame de Pique. Je remercie vraiment le ciel pour cela. Je ne l´oublierai jamais, c´est pour moi une des plus grande chanteuses qui ont fait l´histoire de ce métier.

È stata secondo me uno dei più grandi mezzo soprano della lirica,, è evidente che in questa scena è veramente sublime,,. Una presenza scenica che poche hanno,,dico che i paesi del,est ,,da sempre ,,,hanno delle eccellenze straordinarie nel mondo della musica e della danza,,come dite voi francesi,,,chapou,,,

Ogroman,predivan glas,strogo kontrolisan u predivnom vibratu,kao znaku prepoznavanja! Izuzetna dramatika,ali tek tolika da opise bolest,visoko dostojanstvoo,plemenito velicanstvo i rezignaciju lika.Neuporediva! Dobronamerni poznavaoci moraju prepoznati,izmedju ostalih,i te kvalitete. Bravissima!!!

I don't like to hear this sung by singers who have very little voice left. The scene and aria is so beautiful, and I enjoy hearing it with a voice that can still do it justice, but also convey old age. Obraztsova really conveys what an intimidating and grand lady the countess must have been.

I think that's obvious. On the downside, Obraztsova sounds so imperious that it seems unlikely Gherman could scare her to death. She sounds like she could stand up and beat him to death with her cane!

Много раз смотрела оперу. В арии Графини с детства понравилась часть, исполняемая на французском языке, знаменитой Ириной Архимповой. Но поняла драму пожилой больной женщины, примерно, через 40 лет от начала детского просмотра. Старая графиня не раздражает, а вызывает глубокое сочувствие у меня и, даже, некоторых женщин-приживалок, которых драматично исполнили певицы Большого Театра. Декорации также навевают чувтства уважения и сопереживания у тех, кто сопререживат происходящие на сцене события.

Пришла к выводу, что никто не сможет повторить тот эпизод, в котором Народная Артистка СССР Елена Образцова , преобразилась до такой степени, что можно, целиком и полностью, поверить в то, что под прицелом пистолета, трагичным образом Графиня, закончила,наконец, свою несчатную на сколне лет, земную жизнь. Браво!

1983, Andropov est le chef de l'etat sovietique. Ce monde a disparu comme celui dont parle la comtesse. Elle chante un air de Gretry, professeur de musique de Marie-Antoinette. C'est aussi pendant une représentation d'un opera de Gretry que la celebre Dugazon se tourne vers la loge de la reine et lui chante 'Ah ! Combien jaime ma maîtresse' . Il s'en suit une bagarre à l'opera entre royalistes et révolutionnaires. Tchaikowsky + Pouchkine + Obraztsova + Gretry , quel sommet de l'art !

Oh she sings for everybody, and though she was past her best when I heard her a few years ago in Suor Angelica the voice was of an impressive dimension. But the character is supposed to be 80 years old and she dies of fright in this scene

Obratsova è la plus grande comtesse, sans discussions possibles. je l´ai entendue il y a quelques années au Teatro Real a Madrid, c´est vraiment impressionant, sa voix tourne dans le théâtre d´une facon quasi iréelle. La projection est impecable, et la voix est ENORME. Mais la musicalité surpasse le reste, en plus c´est une actrice, ce n´est pas seulement une chanteuse, cela fait une belle différence. Samaaaaa... Markisa Pompadour... Mes saluts Madame, vous êtes une grande dame.

In Pushkin's "Queen of Spades", the Countess is eighty-seven years old, and this countess seems a bit too strong and energetic to me for such an old age. But the voice, with its strong register, is what is needed.

Elena is the country darling. When she would finish performing a piece concert hall used to explode and listeners of classical music behaved more like football fans. Records distort her powerful voice and do not transmit energy she irradiated in live performances.

как же смешно и грустно читать некоторые комментарии здесь.. кому-то приходит в голову обращать внимание и обсуждать произношение французского.. ??? и это все что рождают ваш ум и душа после просмотра этого видео..?? а как же музыка Чайковского, как же слова Пушкина..?? как же космический голос великолепной Елены Васильевны, наконец..?? и чудесный тенор Владимира Атлантова (жаль его совсем немного в этом отрывке).. нелепица.. о времена, о нравы.. как же мельчает публика..

I love Levko too, I only know her from the recording though, is there a video? I still think you can't have a Countess who sounds as strong as a horse... I agree about acting and makeup, but I don't think she, or the makeup department did a good job. She looks no more than 60 and sounds like she's in her 40s. The part was written to accommodate an old voice, the range is limited and the orchestra is always held back when she sings.

Not bad singing, but very rudiculos French. She is unable to represent french phonetics. Most stupid was that she cant pronounced the name of chateau Chantilly, - castle of Prince de Conde, "where" the king had heard Countess

She's a Russian portraying an old Russian woman who probably spoke French with an accent as well.

Shahrdad Russians aristocracy of 18 century much better spoke on French, than on Russian. This chacracter (Countess) recollected that she paricipates in Versailles parties with marquise de Pompadour and this means that her French must be absolutely perfect. So, Obraztsova 's horrible French cant be apologize by your argument

I don't think the audience at the Balshoi really cared or knew the difference between Great French or Obraztsova's French. She brought the formidable countess to life, and that's what matters.

This is also wrong. According libretto text, she is not formidable, but an eccentric old woman. When she was young, she was very cheerful. That's why she says in her aria: "Well, what stupid times have come. Really do not know how to have fun". So, this scene demands some humor from Countress playing

Пустой трёп. Ни у кого нет идеального произношения одновременно в русском и французском. Интересно, что в основном русские в интернете упрекают других русских в недостаточно правильном произношении иностранных слов, а самим иностранцам понятно и ладно)
