Jem (Aubrey Peeples) sings "The Way I Was" at her first solo concert.
FILM DESCRIPTION:
A small-town teen (Aubrey Peeples) goes viral after a video of her singing is posted to the Internet. She and her sister's band are catapulted into global superstardom, but their newfound fame threatens to break apart their familial bonds when a record executive (Juliette Lewis) meddles in their affairs. This spirited musical fantasy directed by Jon M. Chu is adapted from the 1980s animated series Jem.

I grew up watching the 80's tv cartoon and I believe the movie was nothing like the actual tv series...the singing and acting was good in this movie 🙋I was able to buy the movie the 2nd week of July...2020👍I had seen the movie 3 times on TV close to a year ago🤗

heck no, it’s not about the critics that hate this movie. It’s also audiences like me that hated it. and yes, i hate this movie and it does not deserve to have a sequel. i will NEVER forgive with the way how they casted a light-skin actress to play Shana who is SUPPOSED to be a dark-skin character

This song is pretty good and good acting in the movie 👍The only things that flopped in this movie was: Synergy was not a moving robot - in the cartoon series in the 1980's Synergy was a talking panel, the songs were not the same as the movie and there was no internet in the 1980's cartoon series😒 Synergy was as girl robot in the movie 👍

This movie was targeted towards teens. Typical teen superstar movie. Non-famous average teen and friends become famous. Fame goes to teen's head. Teen blows off friends. Uh-oh. Group breaks up. Teen later realizes friendship is super important. Teen and friends get back together. Finale. It's pretty cut and dry.

This song is great as well as the singing. They should of never called it Jem and the Holograms. They did not include Christie Marx (Creator of Jem and the Holograms). Cost to make this movie $5 Million. Last updated 8 days ago on Wikipedia: Box office take $ 2.3 million. Should of just did it Christie's way she was the MASTER MIND of Jem and the Holograms DUH! You do not excluded the MASTER in its own CREATIONS SMH. So this is what they get. We LOVE YOU CHRISTIE!!!!!!!
