I really think this is one of the more interesting episodes of this tv series. It highlights illiteracy in adults which, from my experience, isn’t really mentioned much in kids shows. It also shows adult illiteracy in someone other than immigrants or ESL type situations. It’s real exposure to the fact that there are many kinds of people who don’t know how to read, even popular ‘Rick’ kinds of people. Illiteracy doesn’t discriminate; it’s a problem regardless of who a person is. This is one of my new favorite episodes from Jem and the Holograms. A good episode.

This is always been my favorite episode even though the overall theme in this episode is about illiteracy but what I focused on was what the character Roxy actually did unlike any other character in this cartoon Roxy showed she never forgets where she came from and the first thing she did when she got a lot of money is go back to her hometown and give back to her community even though the animators are attempting to make it seem that this was all about her ego but I see it for what it is and the character Roxy spent her last dime just to give the people she grew up with and grew up around just to feel special and to have something for the first time in their lives it shows that she is from a poor town where people have very little education and no real hopes of making it out of that poor town so in her very own way she brought something special to them Roxy also makes it clear that she's no better than them and she's one of them. And she makes it clear that she is home. Roxy is not only my favorite member of The misfits but she's my favorite character on the show

Roxy, tired of every failed hijinks, does a Stormer, and decides to go solo!!! Later on, she will bump into Banne and offer a team up after finding the lottery!!! Hold Tight, guys, things will be strange and maybe a new Hologram will be found!!!

Even though I’m sophisticated, I like this episode because literature is very important. I know how to read write and count.

This version of the episode seems to have a sound issue, where there is an extra music track for the episode being played a second after the actual BGM and songs are performed. The same issue is with the sound effects. It just sounds odd. At least the vocal track sounds fine. As does the intro and outro. :)

It was a shame Roxy didn't know how to read. Ba Nee helped put Roxy on the road to literacy. Sometimes, all it takes is one candle in the darkness to light a path in the right direction. NGL, illiteracy has been a problem humankind has had since time immemorial. It might sound silly to some, but it's a hard, ugly, painful truth.
