Says men until they build up the intestinal fortitude to assume the risk & build a business of their own. Both employers & employees have families, it's wholly easier to find another job when things go bad, not so easy to just start up another business when things go south. It costs to be the boss in more ways than one....
@hiddeluchtenbelt6440
@hiddeluchtenbelt6440 4 жыл бұрын
@@larrytempson9466 if you have the capital to start a business, you have the freedom to go for either employment under someone else, or to start employing others. If your business goes South you are not forced to start a new one. The idea that employers are in a more difficult position than employees is just ludicrous. Also, depending on the sector, oftentimes finding another job is not very easy, while firing a worker that you deem obsolete is quite easy under most legislation
@larrytempson9466
@larrytempson9466 4 жыл бұрын
@@hiddeluchtenbelt6440 "the idea that employers are in a more difficult position than employees is just ludicrous." Who said that? What I did say is business owners assume more risk. The "capital" to start a business you speak of may just be the families nest egg?! Anyways, i wasn't here to discuss who has it better or worse, i commented to combat the notion a business owner by default is an embezzler. Tons of businessmen provide a way for people to take care of their families...

@Ryan you don’t have to be a leftist to acknowledge that corporate fraud is the most prevalent/costly fraud committed *and* least punished. Disagreeing with every point that a person of a different political stance makes, just because they are the person saying it, is the opposite of maturity.
@bodbn
@bodbn 5 жыл бұрын
@@PoppyCorn144 can you point to where I disagreed with every point the person made beside the only point they made which was the belief that capitalism is a essentially a conspiracy of the rich to exploit the poor which I readily disagree with. Was there some other hidden points they were making I'm not aware of or are you doing the usual internet strawman fallacy because you have no actual response.
@PoppyCorn144
@PoppyCorn144 5 жыл бұрын
@Ryan if you care to note I separated that comment into a different paragraph because it’s not directly related to you. It’s an observation I am making based on both very left-wing and very right-wing commentators. It’s like people who support some of Trumps points seem personally offended and maligned if anyone points out the blatant lies he tells, his obvious sexism and his pandering to white suprematists. Then they feel they need to double down on hating anyone with any “liberal” view. To turn the tables, in the UK our left wing party are Labour. They are the party who introduced our NHS and that is a service I’m proud of. The current leader is Jeremy Corbyn who is farther left than other recent leaders. Yet he is an anti Semitic apologist and it’s shameful he hasn’t done more to squash this ugly racism in his party. Therefore I prefer to look to policies and past voting behaviour instead of party affiliations because my country is more important than giving a political party the blind support you’d give a football team.

They have their own form of political correctness, for both; its their way or the hightway etc etc. The most ironic thing is (at the same time the most sadest thing), is that both sides dont realise their movements are used and funded by the exact same corrupt billionaire class; who have been exploiting, raping and pillaging this planet and its people for thousands of years. Who love all these gullible and easy to manipulate left and right wingers for the status quo they love so much.

Well the DSM upcoming edition includes a new psychriatic condition called TDS which stands for Trump Derangement Syndrome. One of the symptoms is a persistent belief that anyone that disagrees with you is literally a Nazi. Another symptom is constantly believing Nazis are everywhere to the point of sometimes hallucinating that common everyday events such as someone flashing the OK hand gestures is secretly signalling they are a Nazi. Another is the chronic belief that every person who voted for Donald Trump all 63 million of them are secretly white supremacists. If you are suffering any of the above conditions I advise you to seek out a qualified mental health practitioner immediately for further diagnosis.

Or find the personal truths and meanings hidden behind the tragedy. Dont fall for postmodernist philosophy simply because a lack of definition and outline around the structure of existence appeals to your own undefined expectations. I truly believe if we all could find those expectations and construct a personal method in which we can make such dreams reality, depression would be far less an issue-especially with us young people. Im no stranger to depression, and the burdens that come along with it- but blaming specific groups and clinging to ideological groupthink is not, and has proven not to be through the many tyrannical societies throughout history, the answer to societal challenges, nor self fulfillment. What does prove to lead to this is creating a lifestyle through an active process of which results in a set of dreams becoming reality. Sure you'll be able to laugh along the way, but be careful to laugh at others until you have your own ideals in alignment with the way you act in pursuit of said dreams.

You know, laws apply whether you know about them or not. That's what makes them so great, they're universal. Gao Li Im sure there are many other opinions than mine. I'm not sure what point you're making. Because there are some schools somewhere that teach this and that? I never said that comedy couldn't be serious and have substance. I wrote the opposite. The art in this case would be to tune and balance laugh/substance. At what point does it stop being comedy at all? Sure, strip away all silliness and human touch and insert "THE MESSAGE" instead but don't call it comedy. You are shifting the very meaning of comedy. To be clear, enjoy your german schools, sure they're great but when you describe them it sounds horrible. A bit like comedy with autism.

DarkDennis1961 Whilst in my personal views I have a dim view of where conservative views lead and what they do, and that supposed middle ground and left is still often leveraged for exploitation and dominant behaviour, this is comedy skit using a currency of an established binary. To deconstruct it. For laughs. It's not a comprehensive academic treatment or article, no sociopolitical survey. Binaries are overused in politics and thinking but still useful in comedy and literature. Contrasts and discrepancies can be made emphatic or emphatically pulled apart in a condensed way both by inversions or straight statement. They give an impression of features within a system without being fully accurate..

Though perhaps they made themselves a degree irrelevant by allowing this to happen? All supposed middle of the road nice folks? Or maybe all conservatives will carry on blaming democrats for Stalin: Sanders, Obama, and both Clintons. And Michelle Obama as well. I lost count with this bit :D She killed it (like nazis) :-) "Take credit for their ideas, except that one" "Doesn't work out for nazis either, it's not like they won" (this joke was lost on the audience, but bloody brilliant)

Maybe the audience didn't quite hear her say that last part about them not winning. Anyway, who was that woman that was helarious at a bunch of the comedy central roasts? I wanna see if she has any recent stand up specials.

The wage gap is ignorant? look at the lawsuits that Google, VICE, BBC, to name a few, are currently involved in. Theres tons of proof of systematic underpayment of women with same experience/qualifications as men and that women were promoted significantly less than men. i wont deny that interpreting data correctly is essential and the term can sometimes be misleading, but there is without a doubt an opportunity gap. why arent women being hired and promoted the way men are? we are 50% of the population, why are we only about 4% of CEOs at fortune 500 companies? why arent there more of us in high-earning positions or serving as elected representatives? is it because we arent as smart or hard-working? no that can't be it, we invented computer code, frequency-hopping wireless transmission, kevlar, central heating, BEER, etc for crying out loud. its gotta be something else...

"A race baiting feminist comic who hates white men". Lmfao, where? Did this video offend you? Isn't the point of comedy to poke fun at things/people? It obviously doesn't apply to most men, similar to how men make "get back in the kitchen" jokes. The point is, they're *jokes*. Male comedians make fun of extreme feminists, so why can't this lady poke fun at a minority of misogynistic men? ITS COMEDY, poking fun at a specific group of people doesn't mean you hate them and their kind. Imagine if all women got offended at jokes at their expense. We'd be in WW3.

Making fun of men is not where she goes wrong. Her jokes are not witty barbs or even mildly insightful, she is simply using the same tired anti-white-male tropes that literally fill feminist, and much of mainstream media today. They are not jokes so much as 3rd wave feminism talking points. I get it, making fun of white men is en vogue today. But at least come up with something original. I am all for offensive jokes, but it is like she took the lighthearted from a speech at a women's rally. Or from every single feminist speech in the past two years. It is just tedious. Also, Feminists are a group based upon ideology, men is a gender. The equivalent would be a man making jokes about women. And while I think gender targeted jokes can be funny (either direction), I would not want to hear a man making 'women jokes' that sounded like MRA blog posts. Because there is a difference in making offensive jokes from an endearing perspective and from a negative one.
