Hi Jennifer, I took the plunge and purchased the MISTI tool. I was not good at stamping until the MISTI tool. In fact, I stayed away from stamping unless it was simple. I dreaded not getting a good impression the first time and to have to do it a second time was excruciating. I cannot say enough good things about it. I am so glad that I invested in the tool, and better paper, of course. The MISTI has helped my stamping tremendously. Thank you for your videos, all of them.

EXCELLENT video Jennifer! I love the tip about how to prevent the corners of the SSS pad from curling up! I've come to the realization that from now on, when it comes to purchasing craft tools (particularly the ones that are more expensive), I am going to wait for your "Favorite Crafty Things" video. Thank you Jennifer, I have been looking at the envelope punch board for a while and almost bought it this morning and then I saw the 123 board! So I have bought that instead, I am sure it will come in very handy as it is hard to get A2 envelopes here and I need them! And also the Fiskars trimmer with the wire guide - looks like a great tool and will beat my little Fiskars A5 guillotine trimmer hands down. Thank you so much for all the tips!

After multiple surguries on my hands this may help me die cut more frequently again. Thank you! Always learn something new and I always like how you tell us we don't always need everything. I think we all have a habit of wanting everything and end up with quite a lot of NBUS! I do have trouble with my Fiskars trimmer and am going to see if it's because of the position I sit in when I craft. It varies in how well I find it cuts.

I've had the wire break twice, but it's easy to replace if you are a beaded and have multi strand beading wire, crimp beads and crimping pliers

Being from another age (I'm 55) couldn't help laughing about how different child safety is now (not that I don't agree; I just can't help being amused). I can clearly remember having a Big A** guillotine paper trimmer in my first grade classroom; the type with no guard that could take off a hand, not just a finger. Sometimes I wonder how we survived :) Though, sometimes, I think we were taught to respect dangerous equipment rather than being shielded from it to encounter it later with no experience. I can STILL hear my mother's voice in my head, when a toddler, yelling at me to never run with scissors in my hand. The MISTI has taken so much "fear" out of my stamping and saved me a lot of materials. It took me a while to understand to use it EVERY time I stamp a sentiment, but I learned to be very sorry when I didn't bother to use it. I've now realized I'm terrible at lining up stamps by eye (even using my grid mat and blocks with grids). I've gone from discarding several nearly finished cards due to wonky sentiments, to having every card turn out perfect enough for my OCD nature. I'm probably one of several people that encouraged Iliana to return to the laser etched lid (I talked her into making me one from spare parts during the screen etched era because I'm a compulsive cleaner). I'm so happy she has returned to laser-etched lids that I bought a second MISTI so I could have a back-up, or be able to stand to share one. Also, I've fallen in love with multi-step stamps (i.e. Altenew layered flowers, etc.). I used to shun them because I wasn't happy with the results. Now I can get a perfect image every time. It's also almost a necessity for solid stamps (another genre I've avoided in the past), I LOVE being able to stamp a solid stamp several times in the exact same spot. I know it's possible with a Stamp-a-Ma-Jig; but I always seem to move the jig before I'm done. And, how wonderful for stamping on "closed" die cuts! Another task that would be painful without my MISTI. I've been "all et up" with the Scene It and Petite Places stamps and dies from PTI. I shudder to think about trying to stamp on those small die cuts without using the negative space technique in my MISTI. I think the MISTI is the best value for the money I've ever invested in my stamp room. I promise I'm not on the Sweet Petunia payroll. I've heard some people say they can't understand why they might need this tool, but the day I heard about it, I had several dreams that night about how I would use it to improve my stamping and ordered one right away. I guess it's up to how good you are at lining up stamps and how much OCD is in your nature. Either you HAVE to have it, or could live without it. Oh yes, the Molotow masking pen is the BOMB!; I have several in different tip sizes. And, I love that the Tim Holtz Tonic trimmer is 6" wide for card makers; I liked my old, small Tonic trimmer recommended by Julie Ebersole, but was disappointed it wasn't quite wide enough to accurately cut card bases (though I adore my Teflon bone folder that she convinced me to get; my second most "can't live without tool" after my MISTI). I ordered the Tim Holtz trimmer while typing this comment, thank you for telling me about it. I learned about using Swiffer cleaning cloths from you. Bless you! I hated the old, sticky glitter cleaning cloths, the Swiffer cloths are SO much nicer to use. If you are ever in the market for a precise rotary trimmer for large projects, I highly recommend the Rotatrim Mastercut model. It has two bars to guide the cutter so you don't have to worry about "wiggle". It is very sturdy, heavy (and expensive) but gives the most accurate cuts of any of the 10 plus paper trimmers I've tried. I wish I'd bought it first; it would have been cheaper than discarding all the unsatisfactory paper cutters I tried before finding it.

.... I have had to replace the titanium blades 6 times in 1.5 years. Fiskars was really good to replace the peice with the wire but i can't seeem to stop ithe wire from unravelling and catching my blade. I'll have to check out the other trimmers you recommend.

Looking to buy a trimmer to cut Planner dividers to sell on Etsy so, I need a straight cut. I'm intrigued by the Tim Holz trimmer but, I'm not sure if it will be big enough? I will make A5 , personal and use 12x12 scrape book paper some time. I looked at the Tonic Sudio's trimmer in the 12", it's $50.00 plus dollars. If you think the Tim Holz will work, that would be great. I have a small Fitzers trimmer and I do not like it. Left handed girls have trouble with a straight line. I'm hooked on embossing,foiling and working with velum. Learned so much from you and enjoy seeing your sweet girl and puppy on Instagram. I am planning on investing in a paper trimmer. I have read reviews on the friskars sure cut saying that the wire frays or it makes uneven cuts etc. Is it still your go to paper trimmer? Do you use the precision pro. I know you did a review on it n 2013. I just don't feel like I need one quite that large and heavy duty. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Have you done the review of your paper trimmer ? Because, I'd want to buy a Fiskars as well. I've tried 2 unknown brands but they're not accurate : there is a difference of 1mm between the top and the bottom of my paper. And this is driven me crazy !

Is the Misti stamping tool more easily available at this time. I tried to get one when I first heard about it, but they were back ordered and very expensive. Thank you for your input on the other tools. Some I already use and some I am interested in using.

Nice reviews and the misty still looks attractive, thank you ~ Do you have a solution for measurement wear? ~ My lightweight fiskars trimmer is black framed, silver / aluminum bed, has an arm pull out plus a sheer blue ruler attached with orange covered blade. The measurements, on the bed, have worn away making it almost useless although all else remains in good order, ugh!

I have the fiskars trimmer and also the guillotine one. The cutter never cuts straight. When I pull the blade down, the end of it is always pushed back a little and ends up being like sharp point to the side. I don't know if it makes sense but I'm wondering if the Tim holtz would be better at that or are the the guillotine ones the same ? I love the trimmer though. Also, will the cutterpillar rotary blade cut through fun foam or foamcore board ? I suck at the cutting mat and rotary/craft knife method. Can't get anything straight or cut through and I do a lot of centerpieces where I need to cut through those materials. Any tips would be appreciated
