I can't believe how much work you put in to producing these videos especially. All your videos are always super excellent, but your series are so thorough, ultra organized, and comprehensive. Plus all the links and info you include! Just wanted to acknowledge your hard work, Jennifer. I'm so appreciative of the time you spend doing these, even though it's your "job". Your videos are always well-thought-out and organized, Jennifer. Thanks so much for what you share with the rest of us out here in KZfaq-Land who are working towards successful cardmaking and scrapbooking. I do find it interesting that you rarely if ever run out of ink in the basic dye ink pads you use and thus don't purchase reinkers! I always make sure the lids are on tight and I store my ink pads inside of plastic containers that seal TIGHTLY, like Lock n Lock containers with the silicone gasket, and I still end up purchasing reinkers to replenish them, and I don't make as many cards as you do....for sure! My dear husband, a chemist, told me I'd better keep my ink pads stored like that, especially the solvent-based ones. I reclose my ink pads as soon as I am done with each color. I''m very careful with my investment. Still, I have to buy reinkers or a new pad. I cannot figure out what I'm doing wrong. I will have to re-examine this. Please keep up all the great work you do, especially in encouraging us to make/send cards for good causes. After all, Kindness Matters! Blessings to you and to your family.

I initially started with colorbox pigment inks 17 years ago because I loved to clear emboss them. In the past year they are starting to need reinking but many of the colors have been discontinued. So have been purchasing other brands to find inks I like. I love cubes or teardrop sizes so I can have more colors and save space in my craft. The only inks I am buying reinkers for are distress inks. Think I will try some of Gina K cubes. Thanks for all your time to show us what you think is best. You have taught me SO much especially new.items in the market.

Excellent video. So informative. It's good to know that most stamp pads do not need re-inking. I have had some for a few years and they are still going strong! I also love your tips on black ink. I find that I really, really need a perfect black ink. Nothing is more frustrating than not having a clear image. What a waste if we stamp on our card and mess it up. I guess that's why I love my Misty so much. I can restamp if I need to. But I love a good, crisp black image. I also didn't realize how important the cardstock is! I am looking into ordering some of that Neenah Classic Crest Solar White. Thank you, thank you for all of your suggestions. It makes such a huge difference to have confidence in our creativeness when we're using the best products out there. Not necessarily the priciest...but the BEST! You're kind of like the Consumer Reports of Stamping. Ha ha!

Jennifer, thank you so very much for your videos!! So very informative and helpful in understanding inks!! I have only been stamping for a few years. I was introduced to it when I went to a Stampin Up weekend workshop. So the products I use are primarily from them. I have gone to different craft stores looking to try different inks but became overwhelmed!! I did buy some distress ink but didn't know the proper use so was never happy!! I am concerned though that you didn't mention the SU inks. I've invested quite a bit of money into getting all of their colors. They seem ok to me, but I am looking to use my card making to get some secondary income now that I'm retired on disability. I would appreciate your input :) Thank you again, I love watching your videos more than cable!! God Bless!!

No good for alcohol markers though! Also thanks for showing us the new SSS barely inks. hi typing lefthanded. broke right hand sunday. I prefer cling stamps and to prep them, I use a white eraser to "erase" release product companies use for those type of stamps and then stamp them them a few times. also you might try white ink over tan ink on dark card stock to get a brighter white. tip from ceramist mama.

I am a bit confused and hope you'll help, am I right to say, imagine a hierarchy of your favourite dye inks- Hero arts, SSS, Wplus9 are at the top then a level down would be Lawn Fawn, MFT and ranger and gina K? Your style of papercraft is beautiful and I really do value your opinion! Thanks! Charli! x

I am glad you brought up paper! So often I want to judge an ink or a stamp when the poor paper is to blame! Right now I am having a problem with my white pigment ink (hero arts) bleeding the color out of my red bazzil cardstock. it keeps turning pink! I think I need to try a different paper. Do you have a solution for someone being a messy stamper. No matter what kind of ink I'm using it seems to want to stamp on me insead of the paper. I really try hard to be neat, but it's just not in my nature. I always have to stamp extra pieces because when I fussy cut there are going to be stains on the paper. I let the ink dry, I think, and wash my hands constantly. Even after washing my hands, somehow the ink stills shows up on me. This does happen mostly when I'm distressing pieces with a tool. HELP ME?!?!?!

Jennifer - can you give a link to the Neenah classic crest solar white cardstock you like? Except for the differences in weight, I don't know what the differences are between three of Neenah's classic crest papers I see advertised: - solar white (80#), - super-smooth solar white (80#), and - cover solar white (110#). I've been using Neenah Exact Index (110#), which, as the name suggests, is kind of index-cardy. I'd hate to have to order packs of each to compare, but realize I just may need to do that. Any guidance you can provide will be appreciated!
