Ma'am, For the past year i have constantly avoided setting up a c++ environment in my desired tool, vscode because of how terrible it has always gone. Everything worked perfectly in accordance to your tutorial. I'm just so glad this worked and excited to continue further. @@anju7334 To run or debug a simple app in VS Code, select Run and Debug on the Debug start view or press F5 and VS Code will try to run your currently active file. However, for most debugging scenarios, creating a launch configuration file is beneficial because it allows you to configure and save debugging setup

For those who are getting error Just restart you PC After installing minGW and Adding It to Part It will mostly solve your Problem 🙂

In my case I don't know what is happening, somehow my mingw installation didn't install a debugger so I installed cigwyn and installed gcc,g++, gdb again. Checked the version of it in cmd too all are showing but then again my vsc and codeblocks is not running I'm getting an error some kind of library is missing why tf I"m facing these weird problems? Please suggest me what should I do? Right now I'm coding in dev c/c++ it works fine no problem at all but vsc ide is very eye soothing I wanted to switch.

@@lolme4542 if you are using windows try to compile it on the cmd line. If you still get an empty file. Reinstall the compiler. I dont know it this is your question.

Ma'am One important thing, Why IDEs like vscode, In reality, most of the companies use Linux platform where they use vim editor with ctags and cscopes to traverse through source code. It would be better for students if they get habituated to use Linux + Vim + Ctags/ Cscopes rather Windows + Any IDEs

I start learning with VI and it is not user friendly. Visual Studio Code is very common for beginners. Maybe you should move directly to Advanced. Don't forget to compile with all the options that should be included on the prompt.

I am surprised You don't know What IDE is . IDE comes with Compiler and an integrated Terminal . You are taking about Text Editor , Syntax highlighting etc bla bla . There is Difference between IDE and Text Editors . Vs code is Stream lined Code editor / Text Editor. VS code is not a IDE . If you are talking about IDE go for Codeblocks far better than VS code but for C /C++ only ..

What's The Matter bro , I didn't find anything wrong Visual studio in an Ide and more ... Text editors are to make text file. And can also make python or C . But an Ide just lets you write you're code and develop it's pros ans cons at the same time as it has compilers either integrated or added . There only IDE or No IDE Application 😅 , you can Write java in your codeblock and Ya Code is So outdated.... with plug-ins and built in features how cab you even think it's better it's like comparing Turbo to Visual studio 😂.
