"The Fellowship of the Ring" was never truly broken. Howard Shore gives an epic & operatic reprisal of the "Fellowship Fanfare" with a full chorus. Although the group was separated & their journeys took many different paths, they all come together here, in the darkness of Mordor for a final confrontation. Shore holds nothing back for the remainder of the fight. The placement & strength of that fanfare is perfect, perfect, perfect! This trilogy is something very special. Every contribution, every element, becomes a perfect cohesion.

I mean the leaders who fought in real battles had armour that made them nigh invincible assuming they weren’t crowded and there was no one left to help them. Seriously, a king on a battlefield may as well have been risk free so long as they won the battle.

2:40 somehow, I liked this chorus more than the one heard in the Complete Recordings. Ben Del Maestro's voice can reach mesmerising heights but this soprano singer, their voice makes it feel much more heavenly. Also the men's choir being more prominent helps. If I were to connect this scene to one in the book, it would be when Gandalf is standing on a tall stone and suddenly, a vision is passed to him where he sees Barad-dûr falling, and his worried tiresome face slowly curves its lips into a smile and announces in a voice overpowering all the din that Sauron has fallen. The Orcs flee while we hear the Destruction of the Ring theme. Rest is history.

I’m tired of people who always say this kind of thing. Yeah Sam is a great guy with a humble but noble loyalty, but FRODO is the one who directly endured the evil of the Ring to the very end. Sam only carried for al little short time and still get infected by it. Without Frodo, the Ring would never be brought to the final destination. Or, without any of them, Frodo, Sam and even Gollum, the Ring would never be destroyed. We all like Sam, but don’t put shame upon Frodo, the Ring bearer.

@jeppie200
@jeppie200 4 жыл бұрын
Imarunescapefreak Hey!
