Today in episode 29 of Couple Things with Shawn and Andrew, we chat with special guests Jeremy and Audrey Roloff. You might remember them from “Little People, Big World,” but they’re up to so much more these days! They’re parents, accomplished authors, successful Podcast hosts, and entrepreneurs, to name a few.
Here, we talk about all those things and more - pursuing intentional relationships even after you’re married, maintaining a loving marriage, and everything family and parenting (the Roloffs have a daughter, Ember, and welcomed a son, Bode, earlier this year).
This is a great episode, and our conversation applies no matter where you are in your love story: single, dating, or married. So we’ll let the Roloffs take it from here.
If you haven’t yet, please rate Couple Things and subscribe to hear more. And if you have suggestions/recommendations for the show, send us your ideas in a video format - we might just choose yours! Email us at couplethingspod@gmail.com.

Oh wow…listening in 2024 and Jeremy rolloff hit the nail on the head. The internet and social media shows you at every moment how NOT enough we are. Wow! Very true…watching all these podcast, reality shows, KZfaqrs etc showing us everything we’re not, how unsuccessful we are, everything we should be or should be doing…wow. “Every day we are consuming a billion reasons why we are “less than”! This should be a bumper sticker. The anxiety people are feeling is real and I also believe it is all by design. Major lightbulb moment. Great interview.

Oh how funny! My family grew up with them. I went to school with him. Faith Bible High school, very small school! All those cameras at school. Although I think Mrs. Maki loved it. 🤪 Didn’t think I’d fall upon this. That’s cool.

20:00- This is exactly what happened with me and my husband. He asked me out for coffee and I was not interested. We went on a date and I was still not interested. We remained friends and he still pursued me. I came to my senses and realized he was such an incredible guy. I did not settle... I was awakened. Long story short, we celebrate 4 years of marriage this October.

Sorry but that is kind of sad. Where’s the passion with millennials. You got together because you came to your senses. My husband and I got together because we are madly in love with each other, we are total soul mates. I wish this kind of passion for everyone because it is the best feeling in the world that everyone should experience. Jeremy and Audrey are clueless when it comes to true love.,they think you can just communicate yourself into a relationship. One day one of them will meet the person that rocks their world. Then what?
@ashleerodgers1880
@ashleerodgers1880 3 жыл бұрын
Ann Rider it’s not sad at all. This is our story and we wouldn’t change it for the world. We ARE madly in love but we got to this point through constant communication. We started out as friends first and we knew each other for a year and a half before we even started dating. We know that everyone’s marriages are different , but that doesn’t make ours less effective. We choose to pursue each other every day and love each other with the same amount of love Christ has for the Church. Simple as that.

It’s funny, my husband and I are the opposite. We own 11 acres and want to sell it for a house on the lake. But hearing Jer & Auj talk about that it makes me wonder if we shouldn’t keep the farm since land is so hard to come by and we can always work towards getting the lake house as a 2nd home 🤔

Uggg most of my friends are men, I work in a man's world. Then i also hear i am intimidating. I work to hard. Help any advise you have on senior dating🤔 I would greatly appreciate. Love you both💙❤❤💙

I was a kid watching the Roloffs and always loved Jeremy with his wild blonde curls and his willingness to work hard with his dad. Oddly enough I had my baby girl right before them, and then had a baby boy right before they had their son. It would be cool to see their kids hitting milestones (teeth, babbling, standing, walking, first words, favorite activities, ect). I just love cute babies! Too bad trolls make it sketchy to share such sweet moments. Their family farm was part of my inspiration to get my own property (now I just need to earn an income of the land like they do).

My gosh, after reading some of these reviews I wasn’t sure what this podcast would cover! They’re “fundies”, child abusers, have conservative values, are Christians 🤯 the horror! Really people, 😂 I had to get that off my chest. That said, I really enjoyed this podcast. As a Christian with conservative viewpoints 🤯 (uh oh) I really value both of these couples. I can’t imagine the hardships putting their beliefs out on social media brings them, they have more guts than I do! Thumbs up to this podcast 👍🏼

Well. I must say I am surprised you had these folks on your show. I believed you are open-minded and accepting Christians as you seemed so real with Glennon and Abby. This couple is everything opposite of who I thought you were. I purposely avoid these people who talk a lot of divisive and hateful anti-gay speech. I’m not sure I know who YOU are anymore after this episode. This realization makes me sad and breaks my heart because I am one of those these people hate. Do you hate people like me too? Be real. Tell us who you really are! If you support both sides then you’re not real. Then I cannot buy into anything you share. Stand for something. Standing on both sides is harmful.

Quit buying the Kool aid that you HAVE to hate people just because they don't have every single belief or feeling that you do! This mindset is being taught to the younger generation to keep them off balance and fighting against each other instead of uniting in harmony to discover what is TRULY happening to us as a collective ffs! It's so obvious it's ridiculous.
