Whenever I listen to Jeremy Corbyn speak, I always feel a real sense of sadness. I'm always reminded of the experience of seeing him stabbed in the back by his fellow party members and the appalling character assassination with the continuous lies by the Media to prevent a proper Labour government. Looking back on the alternative that we have endured instead, I feel sad for the people of our country at how so many were duped by hatred. Jeremy Corbyn is such an opportunity missed.

All those smears and false accusations of anti-semitism just because he has sympathy for the plight of the Palestinians. I remember filling in my vote slip for labour on a cold night in late 2019 with genuine hope that the next face of the UK could be a compassionate man driven to do the right thing, not guided by mass monetary gain and cronyism. The UK media did Corbyn SO dirty in the months leading up to the election. Boris' buddies in the press did everything in their power to paint Corbyn as unelectable, soft, weak, antisemitic, and the UK public lapped it up. In short, we as a collective don't deserve this calibre of leader if we as a collective are so easily mislead by the heavily biased press. Since 2019 we've had arguably the most incompetent, dishonest, blundering, self-interested government in the modern history of the UK and sadly, we deserve it.

I am proud of the Irish President's long-held views on this, and the Irish Govt's unequivocal and consistent stance, and for decades. Jeremy is correct. Wish people in the UK would put their politics aside for once, and listen to him...and maybe also become aware of the stance their nearest neighbour is taking. As to the interviewer's question '...is it possible to criticise Israel and not be anti-semitic" ...of course it is, but the Israeli state has been very very good at clouding this question and keeping the waters muddy. Listen to Noam Chomsky's for more on that.

"Prescribed terrorist organisation" is not the point. The people are the point, just like they were in Northern Ireland. Nelson Mandella in South Africa was part of a prescribed terrorist organisation. When there is power asymmetry one side gets to 'prescribe' (label) the other. Peace diplomats have to get around the asymmetry and labels and give all people what they need, even if the most powerful side do not recognise what they need. What they all need is of course peace.

Far from being an anti semite, he like millions of others , wish to see a peaceful resolution. I was on the peaceful March in London yesterday. It was heartening to see so many people coming together and calling for the ending of genocide, and killings on all sides. We must keep marching to this end. Let your voice be heard!

23:25 - We all understood that Johnson had an ambiguous relationship with the truth. But, the Labour Party really needs to explain how it will safeguard lives and wellbeing in view of stringent cuts in energy production, as needed to achieve IPCC goals. Families and individuals having to buy £40,000 EVs cannot be the solution. Energy companies making "bumper" profits is putting lives in jeopardy.
