Күн бұрынThe Forum 8, A life changing avalanche, Being asked to autograph babies, filming 21 video parts in a row, boy band fame in snowboarding, high stakes dice games, shirtless McTwists, learning how to do a backflip on his bike at 44 and so much more. Jeremy Jones has had one of the most prolific careers as a pro snowboarder ever. There is really only a handful of snowboarders in the world that have accomplished what he has in the realm of video part driven snowboarding. After a life changing injury he had to pick him self up and basically re learn what for him used to be basic tricks. His drive and determination is something that we find amazing at the Bomb Hole. His love for the sport pushed him to get back on the snow even though the doctors told him he might not ride again. He has a deep love for hand rails and even states that as long as he can walk he will be riding the steel at the rail gardens or the local snowboard park. Get comfortable as Jeremy has a lot to say in this week’s special 3 hour episode of The Bomb Hole.

I met Jeremy when he was shooting realsnow with Pat Moore in Jamestown NY. We were shoveling a rythem section in front of the the local skateshop going down the street and he joined in. Was one of the most surreal experiences.

@@TheBombHole Wow, just.... wow! That was my favorite episode yet. I started snowboarding right around the time the Forum 8 was coming around, so my first introduction to snowboard media and culture revolved a lot around that crew. I followed Jeremy's career pretty closely from the Forum departure, to all of his years with Burton and beyond. I knew about most of the stuff that was discussed throughout the episode, but it was really interesting to have Jeremy dive deep on most of those topics and share his mindset on how he approached his career. Just listening to him talk sheds a lot of light on why he's been a mainstay in the snowboard scene for over 2 decades. Thank you for putting this one together!

So I actually saw this man when he was on the cascade camp at mountain creek NJ just a few years ago. And he just looked tight to be there on a super crowded Saturday. But I was just hyped to see him there at my home stomping ground. This guy is an insane legend that I followed as a fan from the forum days til now.

This was interview was everything! JJ was a huge influence for me as a kid to start riding. First vid i purchased was Resisitance and was hooked. JJ is definetly the godfather of the sport and to hear him speak on all these topics has been so fulfilling as a rider. Much respect to JJ and everything he has done for the sport. You guys gotta get JP for sure and maybe a joint episode with these two legends!

This was the best episode of the bomb hole I've tuned into so far. Great questions and energy here guys! Hearing the inner workings of this man's career was inspiring and gave me another perspective of my 20 years on a snowboard and why it didn't pan out the I perceived it should have when I was a spry young grom wearing t shirt dresses. Yeah Jeremy Jones! The Forum videos inspired me in my early 20’s to go build jumps and progress my riding and filming. Thank you mdp and all the pros that thru down. Snowboarding has changed a lot and I still ride to this day but you guys really influenced me in my early adult life. Stay psyched!!

Cant tell you how many times i watch his shakedown part and then would go to the park and just lap those rails. I emulated him from the jump but he always had such a dope style. Hey I'm back! This thing hit home yesterday. Still letting it sink in. Jeremy was a controversial character over his career. He has matured and tones himself down. I respect that. Nonetheless I wish he had let his heart out on the topic of “ the dumbing down of progression ” : people going smaller on features they sent ten years prior. Speak up Jeremy! You are one of the few with a career to actualy critisize. True forefather, innovater, legend. Much love. The Bomb Hole keeps me coming back.

To : Jeremy Jones - Ive been telling this story to people for years ! 1997 ish was my first time ever at Snowbird UT . I was 22 at the time and been riding a couple season . I remember seeing you on the mountain !.. I knew who you were from the magazines ! I was into snowboarding back then just like I am today ! But I recognized you, man ! .. We were riding alongside each other for an instant ,. I don’t remember trail name , but it was a cruiser . You were off the trail in the woods going the same speed , which is what caught my attention! I’m regular and your goofy so when I looked over my left shoulder I seen your face and then bang all of the sudden you hammer this massive Ollie out of the woods and vanished and I was was like Oh my God , that was Jeremy Jones !!

I disagree on the guest spot thing... part of what makes the show so watchable is the person telling their story through their perspective... if it becomes an in-joke bro-down, it will lose its appeal. Just my 2 cents...

Titanium rod bonded to my tib. That rod is an asshole and has been so since 1999. I crashed on a rail 1 year after it got pounded in and that was the end of that shit. I’m glad that powder is my drug of choice. Anyhow, bombhole and guests, thank you for highlighting the human experience. This year will be my first year back since starting my cancer journey 2 years ago. Who knew fueling the stoke could be so healing?!

I have created an alternative universe in my head. When I was younger I was always watching Jeremy's parts and stoking out and was always into the park/street scene, never following freeride or big mountain stuff. I took a big break from snowboarding from like 2011-present day but am back into it now. I've been following "Jeremy Jones" on Instagram thinking this dude has just pivoted to the most extreme backcountry riding later in his career instead of hand rails. Imagine my face to learn today that there are two Jeremy Jones in the world. Feel like the biggest Jerry, but at least I know there are two Jeremy Jones killing it out there now. Can we get the big mountain Jeremy Jones on the show too?

Grew up watching this dude. Such great style. Pretty heart breaking to hear about the recent avalanche, and his recovery.. But for someone who's been dealing with injuries for years myself, it's great to hear how he's pushing through it! So much respect for Jeremy!

Great to hear Jeremey is back getting it. I had a tib fib a decade ago with a rod and screws (skateboarding). At first I had to use flow bindings due to pressure points on the screws in my ankle, I just got back to traditional strap bindings last year. JJ was dead on about blood flow. I do 50 calf raises every morning and haven't had pain since I started that.

I threw out my back last year, and hearing him talk about going through his recovery and how he has been able to hit the reset button completely in order to move forward really hit me deep! This really got me more motivated to work harder to thrive in my recovery, instead of just "recovering". Thank you!!
