He would be a brilliant coach if given a chance. But the NBA is racist. I'm not an SJW trying to start shit for no reason, but this man was playing out of his mind in the G-League, and nobody signed him. The NBA preferred chumps like THT over Lin.

I have been saying that for the past few years, that if he does not make it back to the NBA (major league) as a player, he can return as a coach once he retires. He has the playing knowledge & wisdom. We already saw him with the clipboard a few times during huddles when he was still in Houston. That could be a foreshadow of things to come, who knows. 05/12/24

@Angel_559_ because he's not on a team? Maybe. I'd bet there's a lot of players still on payroll that he could outmatch. Why would I take the bet? Of the 400 plus players in the league, now how many have or will make the impact he did. That's 350 plus players who will be in the league longer than he was, and you'll never know their names. If you meet one of them, based on your opinion of JL, you'll disregard them as a 'scrub' or 'benchwarmer'. I don't understand how people so loosely throw around terms like 'washed', 'scrub' etc... In my opinion, he could still play in the NBA. To the same level of impact, maybe not, but there are hundreds who never have and never will make an impact the way he did. He deserves more respect, really.

In 2019, there were a couple rumors of the Trail Blazers having interest in Lin, when Lin was still with Atlanta. That is TWO rumors, early & middle of that year. You would think 2 rumors could make that rumor become true, but no it did not. Instead Lin had his championship with Toronto. Lin could have been a part of a tag team duo with Lillard. Lillard himself had always promised the Blazer fans he would try to be a lifelong Blazer, but guess how that ended. In the end, the Blazers instead, a season later, ironically took a player that will forever be linked with Lin, & that is Melo, & even that marriage did not last long. What could have been with Lin at Portland. Perhaps it was a bittersweet ending for Lin getting his Toronto championship as we all know how he was critiqued harshly. Yet in the 75 years of this league, critics never much complained about anyone else on the roster that got their championship but DNP or played very little minutes, not until they put that unfortunate magnifying glass on Lin. 05/12/24

@@Tb-gz4qt Yeah he kept running into the GSW, but he never win a series over them, they have the chance to do so with the 3-1 lead but they blew it, and still they have one more chance and they missed almost their 3pt fg in which he was the one who missed the most fg and that says alot, he's not meant for big playoffs games, just like Kobe said his (harden) playing style and the way he approach mentally will not win a championship.

I did this in a game last year. One of the opposing players wanted to be the star of guarding me coz they knew that the play is mine even though his teammate(who was guarding me for the entire 2nd half) was a better defender but the ohter one insisted on guarding me but he is slow af, and I am fast. I suddenly remembered this Lillard play where he took off all of a sudden to get the ball. I did the same thing. I pretended to be just standing and chillin on the corner then I took off to the other side, got the ball, drove to the basket and hit the shot. We ended up winning by 1 point where I hit the game winner.

You do not see NBA players in commercials talking about computers, engineering & the sciences, or anything as deep & complex, or even talking about it like a teacher, heh. I am sure a rare few have gone into engineering & science as a college degree, but most are not, in the past 75 years of this league. Jeremy Lin himself has an Economics degree. 05/12/24

This what Kobe meant by lack of killer instincts. A killer doesn't break the Timeout without knowing what's going on. If he had been locking up Dame in the timeout he speaks up and says I GOT MY MAN YOU GET YOURS!!! But Jlin too soft thus his career went the way it did. McFail hated Lin SOOOOOOOO MUCH that he couldn’t have Lin win this game for them!!! They were about to tie the series up. Instead they started the TREND of James Harden as a loser…and Beverly too. A couple of years later CLIFFORD the coach of the CHARLOTTE HORNETS would do VIRTUALLY the SAME TRICK as Lin had again brought the team back from the brink of destruction…Clifford now thinking we got this, relegated Lin to a smaller role player again in favor on Batum and Walker his “stars” and the lost they series. They all but got rid of Lin and that team flamed out next year without him. The only people who ever stopped Lin in the NBA was his coaches. All of them turned out to be nobodies. Only D’Antoni let him rock… and the irony about that was…he didn’t believe in him…but he had no options left. To his credit though.., once it started happening he ran with it. I never saw a player held down like Lin after showing he could straight up ball. Nobody wanted to believe it. They couldn’t wrap their mind around that he was real and they were wrong. They failed…but he got a ring. Ironic as Fk!!!😂😂😂😂😂
