4 жыл бұрын

17/10/2019 A conference with Jeremy Rifkin, American economic and social theorist, writer, public speaker, political advisor, and activist.
Moderation by Philippe Martin, Full Professor, Department of Economics, Sciences Po.
Author of the best-seller The Third Industrial Revolution, Rifkin is now developing a new idea, the « green new deal », a transformative program which would allow a massive global paradigm shift into a post-carbon ecological era.
Rifkin thinks that the global shift towards new cheaper green energies will create a carbon bubble that will burst by 2028 - leading to the collapse of the fossil fuel civilization.

@@kevlard There’s no point in having a “civilized discussion“ with completely brainwashed/indoctrinated peoples who refuse to accept the obvious and well made known fact that “man-made” climate change is a scam invented by the commun.ist gIobaIist eIites for their UNagendas 21/30/50. Just KZfaq search “Australian Politician, Ann Bressington, Tells Truth & Exposes Agenda 21,” ffs. And “The Hidden Agenda Behind The Planned Destruction of America with Rosa Koire” (or ANY video featuring Rosa Koire!). They both go over it very well. There’s no point in having a “civilized discussion” with people who have yet to accept the fact that this gIobaI economic meltdown was orchestrated by the same fucks, with the pre-pIanned “CV-l9” ho-x as the excuse, as laid out in the 2010 RockefeIIer document that contains the “Lock Step” plan (titled “Scenarios for the Future of TechnoIogy and lnternationaI DeveIopment”), Event 2Ol (ran/developed/facilitated by the Johns Hopkins Center for Health Security, the World Economic Forum, and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, in coordination with government/MSM/special “eIites” the world over), and last but not least - Klaus Schwab’s book that is available on Amazon... His book details their plans for The Great Reset/fourth industrial revoIution/total control and ens.Iavement of humanity... Klaus Schwab is the founder and executive chairman of the World Economic Forum. When people are so clueless because they lazily haven’t done proper homework/research on these topics by now, and have yet to make the connection that these “eIite” fucks have a habit of making up bullshit prop.aganda narratives/psyops in order to push their huge/insane/psychopathic/megalomaniacal agendas, after seeing them do the same exact shit with 9ll for their never-ending “war on terrorism” to invade and destabilize the M.E, then trying to have a “civilized discussion” with them is a lost cause. They are too Iow lQ.

Interesting to watch. But none of what he's saying makes sense. He's extremely optimistic in spreading solar panels everywhere, but hides the huge impacts of their production as well as the fact that there's no way we can produce as many in such a short time. Coal is still the fastest growing source of energy in the world. He's also using fake figures : "nuclear plants use 40% of the fresh water in France". I checked : it's actually 40% of "all the fresh water that is used for industrial purpose"... which is definitely not the same. This speech is way too enthusiastic. People wanna believe in it, so they don't have to change anything in their way of life... not good.

His vision of the future is horrible. I don't want to share my car. But I might be FORCED to share because owning one's own car may be more than most people can afford since we will all be so poor we will have to share everything and nobody will have any money because nobody will have any money to pay you with. Instead, you borrow their stuff and they borrow your stuff. This may sound like paradise to a younger generation left out in the economic cold by the current economic system, but I predict living in a sharing economy will get old fast.

Not so long ago we have been tainted anarchists while talking about exactly this! It comes bitterly because we should have been acting more consequent in the late 70s and 80s against the wall of "experts", "certified entities", "media" and the law enforcement protecting the establishment rather than justice. I remember all my friends having lost their lives as environmentalists but I am not giving up into hate and aggression. The 6th human extinction is more likely to happen than this egoistic and egomaniac world is going to change for good. It will not, although it's our duty to keep trying until the end. Terms such as the sharing economy or industrial revolution won't go far because we had similar terms for 200 years already and didn't serve although tangible results confirmed the collective outcome and its sustainability. But as long as the dump recalling social policies communism and the environment movements troublemakers you can make the equation yourself.

Everyone remember the earth goes threw hot and cold times . The earth’s magnetic north always moves. Many many times have the polar caps melted before man . So think review historians.

Sharing , block chain n circular great ...the energy and car pooling all good. Why when you spoke of the sharing you still (like before focused in on toys mainly). It has to be everything. Within reasons of hygiene like not reusable menstruation pads obvs. But handbags, clothes (fast fashion is so detrimental), books, furniture, bicycles, household goods; want a change swap sets plates with someon ...why not they're perfectly okay to clean n reuse, we have to stop buying new (especially on the cheap n ruin our planet and exploit workers for a "change" for a thrill ....🤨) IKEA n H&M etc should be REGULATED or shut down. Planned obsolescence MUST be stopped. If we could make a light bulb with filaments that still work 100 years ago...we must be able to make mobiles n laptops that work or can be upgraded n repaired NOT chucked in favour of a new one within a couple of years. I really tried since my first mobile 1995 (my first excavation and had to leave my young daughter for a period and would not be living with access to a landline) to make them last. It's difficult. Had to replace battery n by the end had two to swap. It was quite a brick. By 1998/99 xmas I got the 2nd, a slim Ericsson flip, this one was so full of soil so many times I really am amazed how long it lasted 😁 Then an Ericsson camera phone spring 2003 with 3G and video calls got same for my eldest as her 1st phone. We were supposed to be able to video call each other...meh didn't work so well😒. But that phone still lasted quite well. My daughter also dropped hers all the time n thing survived 😲 incredible. Think it was late 2006 I got another black with keyboard; indestructible like the Nokia from round same time; that became my youngest 1st phone (bless she had the worst of her friends until...I got her a Huawei in 2016). By 2011/12 another 2nd hand, it had a flip out keyboard, then 2013 again xmas I got an HTC😖 smart phone, but it was rubbish🙁. So by summer 2014 I got my 1st experia (it still lit up a while ago and it was nice to look at old memories😌), after I got a 2nd hand experia 2016 bc it had an excellent camera. My 1st n only digital camera from 2002 had died (was left w a Polaroid n old my 1st Minolta with reusable flash from the 80:ies, 1st was a Kodak with flash cubes😂). So fr 2016 this 2nd hand lasted until 2018 when it just shut down. Tried to revive it few times with the help of a nice Indian man on KZfaq but it got to annoying. So since I'd bought a Huawei in 16 as my daughters first new phone I got the same on sale 1 year after for me xmas 2017/8. This one was incomprehensible poor quality, dunno why but my daughter's was better despite being same model n year older🧐. So when mine shut down n as opposed to the 2nd hand experia would NOT 🤨show any sign of life..at ALL...lost photos..everything😥😖😒🥺 I got a 2nd hand, almost new, galaxy for my daughter as a present n took over her Hawaii. This one lasted fr xmas 16/17:until spring 2019. When I got another 2nd hand (1year old Samsung again) for me. It still working but needs a battery soon. See this is just an example but especially the more recent HTC n Huawei...are rubbish n the old phones lasted forever. Tech gets better n can do more but deteriorates faster ...our first PC from 95 lasted until 2001 when I got a mac in greenish blue, that lasted until 2006 when I got a laptop bc of work n the next in 13. Generally tech is just breaking or becoming outdated non repairable or updatable too fast...I think this must change. It's such a resource waste😬🤯🤦‍♀️

The answer is simple. Humans need to go back to living like we did before cars and airplanes were invented. Oil is the great Curse. Horse and buggie time again. The Amish knew it all along. There are no shortcuts. Globalisation must End. Everything needs to go back to Local-- Local economies, local food production, and local energy production is what will save us. The industrial Era has failed everyone, except the Billionaires. Outsourcing is highly destructive. Transporting everything from one continent to another makes pollution 20 to 100 times worse. Monoculture farming is inefficient and has proven to create new diseases and pest infestations. Genetic engineering is already resulting in inferior crops, not improved ones. This madness caused by Greed must Stop.

We live in a. Country where any of this is possible at the state or even county/city level. Now one is stopping municipalities from doing this. So the simple fact that no state has done and or tried this shows something. The argument is that if we give total control of our federal government to other governments then we can have green society. That is false or it would have succeeded somewhere by now.

Copper, coal, even gypsom always dirty and dangerous and the workers get the brunt of unsafe conditions while the good earth is just left devastated. We must do better. Well, agriculture isn't much better. Those Patagonia try to weigh the cost/benefits and its hard.

The volume of gasses and its proportion in the atmosphere has not increased so significantly to make any change in life on earth ! Co2 is not a pollutant but needed as plant food to feed the people ; the historical starting records of temp and storms over long periods of time are pure guesswork . We must not presume devastation without correct scientific records
