No, this version of the game was rigged. The player would ALWAYS lose to the computer even if they got ahead of it.

You know what i just realized? The game may genuinely be broken because of the dev coding a check for his credit in the bottom right being removed. Because in the cd version they just straight up removed the graphic that had his copyright on it

No it's just designed like shit. The last pepper takes forever for you to eat but the NPC does it almost instantly. You have to be leading by like 3 by the time you get to the last one

I genuinely thought the game was rigged so the computer would finish his pepper a second after you finish yours or something. Or that the real way to win was by not eating any peppers because it would be a joke like “haha he ate the peppers faster and your mouth is one fire you lose” when you actually try, but if you don’t eat any peppers then it says “you win” because the other guy just ate 6 hot ass peppers for $10 tops

The song is based on the 1902 ragtime piano song "The Entertainer" by Scott Joplin for anyone else who might randomly have this version invade their mind and subsequently go insane trying to remember what the real one is.

Just posted a comment about it but I think that the copyright being removed in the bottom right on the disc version might've triggered a anti-piracy sort of measure that makes it impossible
