This story would make for an awe inspiring film. In fact the Catholic Church has an encyclopedia of awe inspiring stories of saints that should be made into films. Father Duenas pray for us. Amen

Peace brother... You could be a saint but a traitor to the power that be in your country. But in being a traitor, you achieve sainthood. You could be a hero but in doing so betray your faith.

@@irsab409Her name was: Wanda Półtawska. She was a friend of Karol Wojtyła - Pope John Paul II. She was born in 1921 and died in October 2023. During the II World War, at the age of 20, she was arrested by German Gestapo and sent to Ravensbrück (a German concentration camp for women), where she was a victim of pseudomedical experiments. After the war she graduated from medical university. So proffessionally she was a doctor - a psychiatrist, being also an academic (she had Ph.D. in psychiatrii). She was also active for protection of life, being for instance against abortion. And about this correspondence of Karol Wojtyła (later John Paul II) and saint Father Pio, and her healing from cancer, that You've mentioned above, it's true.
@MayaTheDecemberGirlАй бұрын
@@irsab409Interesting would also be a video about Father Dolindo Ruotolo from Naples (Italy). He is well known among many Catholics, with his novena "Jesus, You take care of it". He predicted, years before it happened, that Karol Wojtyła would become a Pope. And saint Father Pio knew him and called himself a saint (telling the pilgrims from Naples who were coming to San Giovanni Rotondo: why you come here, when you have a saint already in your town).

@@MayaTheDecemberGirl yap more cruel to Asians than us white colonists. And Japanese think they are superior than all Asians; like Hitler's same racism.
@MayaTheDecemberGirlАй бұрын
@@frederickanderson1860Yeah, and they don't really learn about historical facts from that times. And at some other KZfaq channels I've seen that some Japanese deny all these facts even. By the way, I must add that "us, white colonists" doesn't apply in anyway to my country (Poland). We never had any overseas colonies in our history. And even when some of our soldiers (a legion) were sent to support France (during Napoleon rules) to Haiti, when the French wanted to suppress the Haitian slave rebellion, Polish decided to support the Haitians fighting for their freedom (because they understood what does it mean to fight for one's freedom).

@@MayaTheDecemberGirl history is a subject that is very subjective especially by the historians,also to celebrate battles centuries ago just spark's nationalism at its worst; remember Yugoslavia war in the 1990's the Muslims and other people's lived in peace, until the Kosovo remembrance surfaced by the nationalists.
@MayaTheDecemberGirlАй бұрын
@@frederickanderson1860What You write above is just wrong. History is about facts, documented ones. And manipulating with historical facts, twisting them, dissemination of alternative, fake, versions of history, so just lies - this is "subjective", and it's not history anymore, but propaganda. So this distinction is very important. And what You write sounds like saying that there are no facts, like nothing is "black or white", but everything is always just "grey", like there's no truth, nothing is based on documented scientically, with appropriate methodologies, facts - which would mean there's only one big relativism of everything. Which is just wrong. And in that case, with such views, also reading about saints of the Church or watching such videos as on this channel would be wrong - because after all, it's also history, about people and their past doings that we consider positive, worth of remembering and following. And for sure learning about historical facts, about people who suffered, who struggled against evil caused by the others, especially of various harmful ideologies and totalitarian regimes, patriotism, respect and love for one's country and people and remembering what they had to go through because of various, objectively deserving to be condemned, ideologies and totalitarian systems etc. - it's definitely not nationalism. Calling this nationalism is like calling the videos about saints some kind of "religious fanaticism". So distinction is important, because it's not the same, for sure. And of course, there are things that are evil or good, in terms of common standards of humanity, not everything is just relative. So definitely it's not right to say that history, being after all a discipline of academic science, is just "subjective". In fact, it's manipulating with historical facts, creating alternative historical reality (like we can see on examples of such authoritarian regimes as in Russia, North Korea etc.) that is extremely harmful. As well as ignorance of many people nowadays about history - because such people, without any knowledge about historical facts, tend to be very easily manipulated by harmful propaganda of such regimes (like for instance currently the Kremlin one). So history is very important, and people should learn about it, have knowledge about it. Because, as a well known citation (of a philosopher and writer George Santayana) says: "Those who don't learn from history and cannot remember the past are doomed to repeat it".
