Desus is better when he's not required to read off a script or teleprompter. He seems more comfortable doing this interview but for a first time on late night, this show was not bad at all for him

What I respect about Jerrod is, he's real. Not afraid to speak about issues that are difficult to speak on, while also having a sense of humor, humor is how we survive.

I was so confused when he hosted SNL and came out and referred to himself as some guy that nobody knew of - in my mind, he was a hugely talented stand up that I assumed anyone that liked comedy knew of.

It’s been available to rent for months, fyi. In case you just want to do that. I rented it through the Apple TV app about 6 weeks ago; it’s definitely worth the watch, a great first acting/director stint for Jerrod, and Chris Abbott is fantastic as always (go watch him in James White on Peacock, if you’re unfamiliar).

Jerrod you're a talented man but all this "I don't want to be nominated or don't care about nominations" seems inauthentic considering that you have to submit your projects to be nominated and if you do not give your content to be considered then they would not consider your entries. I hope that you can just be humble and grateful without being dismissive of the Academy that is supporting and promoting your work. All the best and keep on shining 🙌🏾🙏🏾
