I don't think having lots of different therapists help growth, the depth of a relationship is partially built on repetition and amount of time put in, and better therapy requires deeper relationships. I did find it ironic that his problems with commitment directly manifested into his array of short term therapists too though, lol. If Jerrod was the type of guy who could commit to a therapist, then he wouldn't have a lot of the problems he has in the first place.

Very good detail you noticed. Commitment in general is an issue not just in romantic relationships. Him switching therapists also waters down attending therapy also for the viewer. Those who haven’t been to therapist this could be there 1st look at what therapy is.

The series was great because he pulled back the curtain and exposed things we as humans don't talk about but also what the black community hides Was it self indulgent??? YEP but Was it necessary??? ABSOLUTELY He challenged his mother and wasn't taking no crap because they are adults...he was more empathetic to mom than dad but the ending was powerful Good perspective from you.....👍👍👍

I feel like this show tried to wrap up and put a pretty bow on the series but I didn't buy it. That man is still committed to mess and I don't feel great contributing to feeding that by watching the mess

@Innerchild.Whisperer I really appreciated what I saw from your reactions to be honest. To take it another step further. As a transgender identity here of puerto rican decent, the message is universal more so with people of color. Everything is pretty much hush hush with the threat of religion until someone has the audacity to speak real truth. Which doesn't always have to be loud or obnoxious. A quiet confidence is all it takes in my opinion to speak one's truth. I think the show also does that which I love. Although I don't agree with all of Jarrod's escapades lol, to each their own.
