My band Flow played at this festival and we were one of the organizers, along with the Coco Blues Company. I made sure we were not playing anywhere on this particular night. I took my 4 year old son to see this show. Because of my Artist Pass I was able to go into the backstage area before his set and hang out with him a bit. He was very intimidating and aloof at first, but the presence of my son helped break the ice and once he heard my story... that I'm an American Rock And Roller living on Koh Samui playing original music and that I am actually one of the guys that got him the gig...he warmed up considerably and was a true Southern Gentleman. The comment he makes onstage about this place being paradise is actually from our earlier conversation backstage when I was telling him what it's like to be a struggling musician supporting a family on Koh Samui.
