B 4 I worked with Jerry Woodard he opened for The Killer. Woodard had out a song called She's Just A Housewife. He would cry the lyrics. A gal came on stage and wiped his eyes with panties. This was in Birmingham at the Graymont Armory. The killer was wild that night!

+RJ 1999 Elvis was great and unique. I think many white rockers in the 50s started playing rock n roll because of him. Sure, Jerry Lee Lewis was influenced by black music but not a lot of whites try adding that into the music they played until they heard Elvis. Bill Haley was doing it before Elvis but he was older. Also, I don't think Bill Haley was a huge influence on Elvis's music. Elvis probably was a fan but I don't think he was like crazy for his music. Just a fan.

Elvis good voice but only a singer He never did solo or introduction with a guitar(he only knew 3 chords..) and see him playing piano and you will laugh... He had a beautiful face... And paid a few cents for the rights of otis blackwell songs... Jerry lee sings songs of blackwell but he s able to plays these songs.. It is not the case of elvis.. With a guitar elvis is only able to sing a slow song. He needs his guitarist or piano to have rythm.. Jeery lee,little richard or chuck berry don t need other people for rythm.. All of the people who like to play or dance rock nroll know that it is more difficult to dance or to play a song of jerry lee, little richard ,chuck berry,than one of elvis.

I just started learning more about Jerry Lee lately and although I know a little about him from listening to his songs a few years ago ... the man is LEGEND and is STILL living to this day!!!! That says SOMETHING about him compared to all the others of his day and time when rocknroll was in its hay day! Elvis had the looks, 100% sexy and even the sultry velvet voice to add sure and although he had his off the chart hits as well and stayed on the billboards most of the time at the top ... I feel it was his looks that kept him there more than anything! Had Jerry Lee been born with the hot good looks he would have given Elvis a run for his money and could have even been the Elvis of our time and history instead. Seems looks always rule out more than the heart and talent one has to give :( Such is life but in my book ... compared to Elvis more than anyone, Jerry Lee was the MAN!!! He was the BEST entertainer and showman on stage and he ruled the stage!!! My hat goes off to Jerry Lee for still remaining with us today! He's got soul, heart and obviously the will to want to continue living for his family and especially for his fans!! :) Hail to the real King of rocknroll Jerry Lee Lewis!!! You will outshine any musician because you lived through it all and still standing on your own two feet TODAY!! :D That's LEGEND!!!!

I agree! And if "Ronnie Van Zant" was alive today he would kick "kid rock's" ass for stealing their songs! It's one thing to sing another Man's song, but to rip off a bands tunes and change the lyrics - deserves a good old Alabama Ass Whooping! And I can't think of another person more deserving than Kid "Punk Ass" Rock! There, I got it off my mind. Thanks
