Before going WFPB I had difficulty doing 5 laps without a rest. WFPB gave me a new life. 12/24/22, although an ethical vegan, many years of dairy clogged my arteries and I needed a stent in the LAD. My journey began a year ago, absorbing everything I could find in wFPB. Chef AJ was such a blessing

Just decided to follow the whole foods/no-SOS diet. I never heard the term "no-SOS" until I heard AJ say it. I NEVER thought that I could live without salt. I NEVER thought that I could eat potatoes WITHOUT salt.....but I can! Now I actually LOOK FORWARD to salads! I NEVER in a million years thought that I would be a "salad guy."

Love your story Jerry. Planning my first marathon this year. Going to sign up for flying pigs in Cincinnati…… power of plants…… Beware the power of KALE. I will be 62 this year and feel great. Will travel from Canada to the USA …. just because.

I appreciate him including eat to live. I know Dr. Fuhrman has struggled a bit with his reputation in the plan based community but, that was the first book I read. That was the book that started me on a journey that eventually saved my life and I’m happy to see him celebrated for that!

Ditto - his book was the first book on CD that I listened to, then got the book, and started slowly down the WFPB path.

Same. My dad had given me a copy of Eat to Live a long time ago, and I thought Dr. Fuhrman was insane. He can be savage in his delivery, but everything he says is really true.

Very inspiring! I went to my gp yesterday because I experience so much joint pains that I can hardly walk up and down the stairs. I am 62. I need to walk the same path as todays guest did. 🙏

I just recently started my weight loss journey again. I was at my goal weight and I gained most of it back. I work a very physically demanding job, walking 30k+ steps per day, working 10-12 hours or more per day 6 days per week. I'll be happy to get back to that goal weight so work isn't so hard. I was eating 90% vegan before. The great thing is that it wasn't hard to go right back to it except for the time and effort it takes to prepare meals. It was so much easier to eat processed crap but I felt terrible. I already feel better after only 5 days! I can give up anything except caffeine. Coffee keeps me going at work. I'm 54 and need the boost it gives me. I loved this and he is great, but I won't give up the caffeine.

I was a caffeine addict, crawling from dose of caffeine to another, but 100% vegan diet (since 2018) helped and WFPBDish diet (from 2021) further loosened it. Nowadays only a morning coffee feels too enjoyable to give up, but half of days I don't crave another dose at afternoon.

Hi, Chef AJ, my only hard time being on a WFPB no-SOS is when I travel internationally with no time to buy fresh food/cook, always being out and about. Either I fast or I eat at restaurants and try my best to order the least possible harmful meal. I can’t wait to go back home 😆

I guess it's because the Big Food and Big Pharma do everything in their power to keep us eating unnatural diets and keeping us chronically ill - but alive. Watch documentaries Plant based nation & Forks Over Knives on KZfaq. All the best for you from Finnish M.D.

Such a lovely human, thank you for interviewing Jerry. He was very relatable, his story is my story. @Jerry how do you deal with moments of being attracted to the foods we chose not to eat- sounds like you haven’t struggled with a “snackcident”; do you have a process of resetting? Asking as food is how I have learned to soothe- and knowing doesn’t seem to work for me- I need a tangible tool, do you mind sharing?

Thank you so much for your speedy reply. I’ve often wondered if there’s a Canadian Dr. that has reached out to you? Or that you have interviewed? those that live in British Columbia, Canada maybe? I often feel for those that live in Canada that were all cut off from the truth when it comes to our health care. I’m very thankful for all your informative interviews (to name one Dr. Brooke Goldner… a big part that helped me when I was at deaths door) and so many others that you’ve interviewed whom have made a big difference in my life and many others that are beginning our own health journey. Thank you
