Man I miss this place so much. I went to East Side High School from 2002-2006 and I would eat at Ferry Street BBQ at least once a week after I got out of school. The prices were good and the portions were huge. This video brought back great memories lol

Looks delicious. Brazilian Rodizio is the joint! Many solid Portuguese barbeque spots in Ironbound area and Perth Amboy as well. I'm lucky to have 5 Rodizio options near me. You have to be hungry because most places charge around $35 for the AYCE option. Awesome to see your family giving Thanks to God for your food and blessings

I grew up in the ironbound. I’ve had Portuguese bbq from every spot in the area. To me the best is Pulaski BBQ. Hand cut fries, white and yellow rice. Chicken is really good and by far the best ribs in the area.

They have great garlic shrimp down there. I can't remember what restaurants we used to visit. It's been over 30 years since I moved from NJ.

Simply the best. Wish they would open a location in south Florida.. mmm . When I go back to Jersey I always go to Elm St bbq and Iberia restaurant. I’ll try this spot next time.

If you are back in the area, Casa d'Paco is a great place to check out. There is plenty of good BBQ, but the chef there is doing some nice stuff with Spanish tapas and always changing up the menus.

Now since you in Jerz here at three spots you have to hit up in Metuchen Nj pho 1 I get B3, palisades park Old Shanghai we get soup dumplings-pork with scallions-and kung pao chicken, and last but not least in Denville Hunan Taste we tried almost everything!!! You won’t regret it!

I work near here. Ferry St bbq is old establishment well known. That said, it eats very salty. Especially with the rice and French fries they load up with the meat. Try Krug's Tavern next. Their burger is legendary.

I love that place! I love a lot of the restaurants on Ferry and Wilson. Portugalias is my favorite. Marisquera is the place for fresh seafood. Flaming Grill is an awesome buffet 😎

You need to check out the Belmont Tavern, 12 Bloomfield Ave., Belleville. (Newark/Belleville border) excellent food, famous for the Chicken Savoy.

But authentic Portuguese food you will definitely find it down there Can’t wait till I go back home this Houston food is trash they have some good Vietnamese places out here but it’s very high priced and it’s just not like the East Coast flavor I know New York and New Jersey Maryland all day
