Did this sprayer even WORK???? YES IT DID! VERY WELL! This has been a game changer for my Kentucky Blue Grass and soil! Calibrating Sprayers Plus BL25E - N-ext Air8 Application ... The LONG wait is finally over! I get to calibrate of the Sprayers Plus BL25E for liquid Fertilizer... and throw down some N-ext Air8 products...... wait a second, 🚫it doesn’t work?!?🚫 Seriously?
Work them kinks out and a way we go.

I have calibrated it to my settings:
- 5 feet wide swath with sprayer
- 25 ft x 5ft = 125 sq ft
- It took 10 seconds (an average of 9 seconds and 11 seconds on the two passes).
- Filled up container for 10 seconds, got 6 ounces of product
- I need to figure out 1000 sqft sections?!?
- I know I spray 6 oz of product per 125 sqft and 125 goes into 1000, 8 times (1000/125=8
- So 8 x 6oz= 48 oz of product per 1000 sqft
- 1 gallon =128 oz and the BL25E is 2 gallons and that = 256 oz
- 256/48=5.33 or 5333sq ft of product applied per tank
My yard =8000sq/ tank 5333 = 1.5 tanks to do my yard
I know I don’t speak during the part, I figured I would interact with you guys in the comments if u had questions.
After that calibration I decided to spray some Air8 down......

I have the exact same pump. The orange fitting on the inside of tank you have to change out for the black one that also comes with it. Pump worked perfectly then.

Jason Bonk my line plug was not installed. I ordered of from gci turf and they took it out before I got it. It was ready to rock... just needed to be primed. Easy way to do it is to remove the metal wand from the black handle and it does it quickly!

+Jason Bonk it wasn’t that, I ordered this from Pete Denny when he first started talking about them, he put the black on in for me b4 sending it. It wasn’t primed Was all. All you do is remove the metal wand at the squeeze handle, and it primes in seconds. Lol learning is key! I’m glad that wasn’t my problem with the orange plug.... 🤭

+Jason Bonk glad it wasn’t that. I bough mine through Pete Denny and he has switched the plug out. Mine was just a priming issue. To prime it easy, you just pull the metal wand off, primes it in seconds.

I’ve been using a hose end sprayer up until now. Thinking of getting one of these. My main reason was mostly because it’s easier than lugging a hose around. My issue with the hose is it’s easy to walk forward and spray but I would walk through the product just applied and it would get on my cement from my shoes. With a backpack sprayer I was hoping to walk backwards to avoid that. Do you run into any staining issues with the Next products on your concrete?

Dan Trudel anole, you can just spray it off with a hose or a pressure washer. If you get some of the products on the cement with iron, just run rustaid: amzn.to/2KVPBV1 , it comes right off.

3 months in, what are your thoughts. Pushing 100F in southern Idaho, I wonder if it’s still safe to apply.

Ty Iwakiri - I love them - Hands down Two things about applying in the summer 1- RGS, go 3oz per 1000 sqft max 2- Apply at coolest time u can of the day ie. first thing in the morn or right before dark Sneaky 3- don’t be scared of them and just see your own results... you will not be disappointed!

Why did you decide to go with the BL25E (sanitation model) vs the YT25E which says is for Lawn and Gardens? Just curious... I'm looking to buy one and want to make sure I get the appropriate model. Thanks!

I went with the BL series for the: - Increased resistance to the caustic materials I want to run through them( Seals are higher quality). I Don't want to worry about some of the solutions ruining my sprayer. I know that some of the products I want to use (Air8 and Humic12 for example), is a lot more acidic then regular ferts/insecticides/ect. - It has a stainless steel wand, so less issues with any residual liquid, staying in the wand and guming it up, ect. - And in all honesty, it was 10 bucks cheaper, that did come into play for my decision. Ultimately it was the higher resistance to caustic materials that made me pull the trigger, giving me less worries about longevity of my sprayer.

Im having the same issue with the sprayer not spraying right out of the box. How exactly did you “prime” the line? I’ve tried with pump on and off, wand on and off, and not getting anything out of the line.

Spencer Rogers ohh I forgot, check to see if the orange plug is in the bottom, some come with it in. If that’s the case they will put a black filter strainer in the box that goes in its place.

I just got my bl25e, like others said the directions are vague. The inside bottom of the tank was open but the screen that you install had a tag connected to it. The picture that showed The two extra tips (90,110) were in black and white and didn’t say yellow is the 90 and blue is 110. After trying both (and then realizing the tip was wider) the blue was the wider stream. I only got a 3 foot wide pattern, kind of disappointed because I was hoping for the same coverage you showed(5 foot). I’m sure its worth the $119.00 though, seems well built. I really don’t want to spend another $120 for gci’s tip.

Tim Mcasey I’m 6’1”, so when I holed it at knee height, it’s 2 feet high.... it gives the best coverage there for me at 5 ft... That’s why everyone has to calibrate, there is variation in sprayers, tips and people using them. Make sure you install the black filter facing down in the bottom chamber, orange is a plug for storage and the blue tip is the 110 tip, yellow is the 90. He has put his tip up to 120?? Just curious, which nozzle are you using for that 5 foot spray pattern, blue or yellow? Just got mine in the mail.

The 110 degree nozzle... in mine it was the yellow one..... my neighbor just picked up the BL25E sprayer.... his 110 nozzle is the blue nozzle... I was so confused..... lol honestly it takes less then ten seconds to switch between the two to see ... wish is wasn’t just a wishy washy answer... but before he got his I would of said with 100% certainty it was the yellow nozzle for the 110 degree spray.... now... just test both...... sorry such a lame answer.....

Alpha Aquarium so I hold it in by my knee and that it 2 feet high. That is where I get the 5 ft width in spray.. have u laid your tape down to see how wide it is? Email at jeremyofthegreenerlawn@gmail.com and I can interact via video to show you and see what you got.

Don't forget to triple rinse your sprayer and to prime it now so that it will be ready for your next use.

After my unboxing, and pulling on the handle several times, unpriming it. Then going to do my calibration, I make sure I keep it primed... 😂.... but priming it again is a breeze... Triple up the rinse, always smart to keep from mixing/ keeping residuals in the lines👍🏻👍🏻 Thanks for the sound advice!!!

The Greener Lawn After you are done with your triple rinse, put about a quart of clean water into the sprayer tank and close the lid. Spray just a little to fill hose/wand with clean water while leaving a little water left in the tank. Put the sprayer away with that water in it until your next use. At the next use, add the corect amounts of chemicals and water in the tank. The pump will be primed without any air bubbles and your solution will be flowing right away. No more priming needed.

Great video... What is the "difference" in the BL25E vs the YT25E?

Matthew Schorfheide BL is made for bleach, YT is a yard one (yt can hold bleach but a a way lower concentration). The reason I went with the BL is because it withstands harsh chemicals better like bleach. I run herbicides/pesticides/highly acidic products through it, and it holds up well. I nothing wrong with either but BL withstands the products I am using better, over a long period of time.

YT will be great for ya! Nozzles, yes. I tried all the other ones it comes with then I tried one that was a side pattern that gave me 8 foot passes out of it. What are ya wanting out of the nozzle?

Differences in production, reason why we do these spray tests. So we are calibrated to our machine And it to us! What nozzle are you using?

Not familiar with the red tip. What degree is it? I know the yellow is 90 and the blue is 110, do you know that? Believe me you don’t want it going faster. If you want to put it down quicker, use my calibration method. Do more sqft per gallon, not the 1 gallon = 1000 sqft. With how I have calibrated my sprayer, I get 6000sqft out of my 2 gallons. Then I water it in. Now if it’s herbicides or a product that can’t be watered in, I go by their recommendations of 1 gal = 1000sqft.

The music at the start of the video is super loud, so I have to turn my laptop down. Then when you start talking I can't hear you so I have to turn my laptop up.

Ok I got ya, understood! I was using iMovie and i wasn’t very good with it and it was killing my videos making me restart. I just picked up lumafusion! It gives me the ability to do just that! I had initially read that comment as turn your voice and the music down.... lol I was like, ummmm silence? I know I struggle but silence? Lol I got ya, thank you for your feedback! I appreciate it, let’s me know the things I can work on!! I do want to get better👍🏻
