Palestine - many people have different perceptions of this middle-eastern land.
It often makes headlines for all of the wrong reasons, but most don’t know what life actually is like in this occupied territory.
I’ve been interested in Palestine all the time since I learned about it in a history class, and finally got a chance to visit for three weeks this autumn.
But throughout the trip, I realized how little knowledge I had about this beautiful land.
I didn’t know about its unique culture and warm-hearted people, but I also didn’t know how they are suffering from injustice every day and how it feels to sleep hearing gunshots at night.
From this week, I will start a new video series called “Behind The Wall'', to share what I actually saw and experienced in Palestine, surrounded by the separation wall, which was illegally constructed by the Israeli government.
As a first video, I’d like to explore the Holy City: Jerusalem.

@@cosimodirondo972 Getting into semantics is irrelevant. The fact is: there was a native indigenous population living in the lands East of the Jordan River and upto the Mediterranean Sea - call them whatever you like for your own purpose, I will refer to the as Palestinians. The Palestinians were depopulated and cleansed out of Palestine in 1947-1948 during the creation of Israel. These are facts that you cannot argue against I'm afraid. I would recommend you read "The Ethnic Cleansing of Palestine" written by Ilan Pappe - an Israeli historian, would give you some perspective, and as always I am pro dialogue and discourse.

You clearly haven’t been educated on how the Romans invaded and colonised the native Jewish homeland of Judea, and renamed it Palestina. The first evidence of muslims in Judea is when a got called Omar arrived and Islamised Judea. Once the Babylonian king destroyed the Jews temple, the muslims built Al Asqa right on top of it.

@@Zelielz1 did you ignore nearly a millennia of history? 1. The Dome of the Rock was built by Muslims. It was a dumpster before the Muslims took it. 2. Muslims welcomed Jews back to Jerusalem (which were exiled by the previous non-Muslim rulers). 3. Everyone had the ability to practice their religion freely, with special emphasis on Muslims, Christians and Jews. 4. In many instances in time, Jews had the ability to hold a lot of power under Muslim rule. Don't believe me? Look no further than "Maimonides". Although technically not in Palestine, the Ayyubid Sultanate (the empire he served) also ruled over Palestine. To ignore an entire millennia of history and just look at the British rule after WWI (which also hardly lasted), is absurd.

@@xBINARYGODx Why would how much power one side had or how many people were killed on one side be relevant? Terrorism is evil and Israeli has a right to defend itself against suicide bombers, knife attacks, gunmen, and rocket attacks. If they didn’t have the Iron Dome, the Hamas rocket attacks would kill thousands of Israelis. Would you prefer that, thousands of innocent civilians killed by Hamas rockets? If the Arabs don’t want Israel to retaliate, then they shouldn’t attack innocent Israeli civilians. When Israel retaliates, they only target military installations and oftentimes give the residents of the building notice they’re going to bomb so that innocent people can get out. If the Arabs put down their weapons, there would be peace and the Palestinian Arabs could have already had their own nation. They’ve been offered it 5 times and refused each time because they are racist against the Jews and don’t want to share any space in the Middle East with Jews. If the Jews put down their weapons, they would be annihilated. That should tell you something.

The Muslims build a mosque on the holiest site for the Jews. It’s not even the holiest sight or city for Muslims. I can imagine it being painful to have a mosque over where Gods temple once stood, but God is in control and maybe they should ask why he allows this.

You have got to recheck your knowledge my guy!!! 1.There are 150 thousand workers from the Gaza Strip in Israel, who are payed Israeli salaries, so they can go out of Gaza. 2. West Jerusalem is 1000% Israeli by international law, it was even a part of Israel before the 6 day war. 3. The Temple Mount is the most holy sight for Jews!!!! They don’t go to the Temple Mount by force, they have the same right to pray there as Muslims do, and they are guarded by police Because if not they will get attacked.

Article 6 of the mandate for Palestine permits Jews to settle west of the Jordan river. That is international law.

The temple mount is a "new theory". very funny... Why is it called the temple mount? it was very new 2700 years ago.

You look at Palestinans and say "wow such peace and beauty". Then as soon as you see an Israeli flag you see "controversy" why don't you see both as equal and assess the situation objectively?
