For the past 20 years or so, the Israeli government has been constructing a controversial separation wall, annexing Palestinian land inside the occupied West Bank.
Years after it was deemed illegal by a UN court, the wall still continues to cut through and divide Palestinian towns and villages, destroying the livelihoods of the people living there.
I was always curious about what’s really going on inside the separation wall, so I decided to enter Palestinian territory through an Israeli checkpoint in Jerusalem. .
In this second video of the “Behind The Wall” series, I will explore Bethlehem: a Pelastinian city surrounded by the separation wall.

It's not metric so it can be confusing, but that wall is much taller than 8 feet. Perhaps you meant 8 meters = 30 feet?

This is not a wall, this is a *security fence.* Only *3%* of the fence is concrete. This fence saved the lives of tens of thousands of Israelis - Jews, Druze and Arabs alike, from the suicide bombings of Palestinian terrorists. Thousands of Jews were murdered in cafes, buses, clubs, malls, hotels ... until the Israeli government decided to put an end to terrorism and erected the security fence. My heart breaks when I think about Gasa and what has been done to us Palestinians for years (since 1947). I suspect that it is the intention of the owner of the Walled Off hotel to name it as such. If you say Walled Off' quickly it can sound like you are saying 'Waldorf', ie., prestigious hotel chain. If so, the owner has a great sense of humour.

The message of your video does not make sense because your starting point is incorrect. According to the agreements, a Palestinian entity was established which in the future will become a state. Between this entity and the State of Israel there is a border wall/fence similar to the border between Palestine and Jordan. Israel does not owe the Palestinians anything and does not need to open its border. Why do you assume that Israel should let everyone in?

I checked the Balfour letter to Curzon, Respecting Syria Palestine etc. That sentence about arabs, he didn't write wishes he wrote 'desires and prejudices'.
