When I lived overseas and flew home to visit my parents, I would send them a shopping list of things I needed -toiletries, undies, socks etc -the basics so that I didn’t have to waste packing space on them and only really took my clothes. After a while, we built up a wardrobe in both locations so that we could pack very minimally. One suitcase between me and my husband. We had it down to an art….but we weren’t doing it with a baby. I imagine that complicates things quite a lot.

I did chuckle at all your toys to keep her occupied…we flew from Adelaide to London when she was 13 months old….we bought her an expensive toy as recommended…she took one look and chucked it on the floor of the plane 😂 xx

I just flew alone to Asia from Canada with my 9 month old baby. I didnt know where the strength came from but the 32 hours flight was indeed an experience lol. Baby cried multiple times during the flight, had to remind myself to stay as calm as I could so baby could too 😅 Good thing was I flew with a bunch of really good lads so it wasnt as bad. I packed weeks before and still managed to forget my baby carrier and lost my stroller at the gate lol 😂

actually going somewhere for more days,especially when it's family,doesnt need to mean more clothes..i mean you can always wash them there..on the contrary going somewhere for less time,may mean you need more stuff that you may or may not use but you take just in case..
