Bam is THE most defensibly responsible "come forward" fighter in the game. When he throws a jab; his right is always covering. When he slips to get out in one direction, his opposite hand guards his face. Unless you can punch WITH him, he's a very difficult to hit. And then there's Sunny who is reminiscent of the great Argentinian, Locce.

No way. Inoue, Spence, Canelo, etc all are more responsible defensively while coming forward. Bam gets hit clean a lot. His offensive diversity is impressive tho.

@@alod247 spence responsible coming forward? Seen the Porter and Crawford fights? Canelo isn’t that responsible coming forward, he does when he walks the opponent down and used fients to close the distance, but once he lets his shot go they aren’t coming from an angle like Bam does so he gets countered a lot too, look at the GGG and Bivol fights. Inoue is slick, but mostly an offensive fighter. So there goes your arguments

I know that everybody's got to start somewhere but the level of competition that bam has fought versus what Sunny has fought is a world apart. This is probably too much, too soon but if you are Edwards you have to take that chance.

The irony of this is I agree but also jesse is 5years younger than edwards. haha which says quite a lot and I mean the idea when i did originally see this fight is sunny can potentially attempt to fight on the outside after seeing bam has a 67inch reach to 60inch reach advantage a 7inch reach advantage at 112pounds is CRAZY. so I dont even see how its feasible for sunny to fight on the outside let alone of course the inside with 0 power I respect sunny though but I think this fight reminds me a little of rigondeaux loma loma weighted to move up like 4weight classes and then called him out. Both extremely technically gifted but one fighter has significant physical advantages over the other and the technical gifts that got rigondeaux past every one and sunny past everyone were because they were technically superior to there opponent fighting your technical equal will be very rare for fighters of there class, then to also have a physical disparity its pretty hard to see him even winning rounds let a lone the fight. which again I have a lot of respect for sunny I just think jesse is generational talent potentially pound for pound but it will be hard for him to cement his legacy as his height and aggressive style I dont think he can move through divisions like we have seem loma inoue or others do that being said it will be an entertaining fight even if one sided just to see two technicians at work.

@@gsafi3729 there's not a lot higher up the weight classes that I think bam can climb. He's young and so eventually he'll put on some of that older guy weight and may be able to move up one more but I think two more would be a stretch though he does carry a lot of power for a little guy. With Inoue's fight coming up soon we're going to get to see a couple of the fighters on the pound for pound list. I have the weirdest feeling that the Monster may have slightly overlooked this guy and I have this nervous feeling about him being upset. I know it's not likely but he's my favorite boxer so I worry for him. I've always been the anxious type of sports fan. Lol.

Brilliant fight . Im buzzing for it . I can make a case for either . I can see a points win for sunny ( if he gets one from judges ) bam also ..plus a late stoppage for jesse . High level boxing . Love it

I think Bam will win by a ko in the 8th around there. I think early on itll be a cagey affair and Edwards will have some moments as he works into the fight. But i think what Bam will do as hes pressuring is force Sunny to throw he will the draw the shot and i think his footwork will allow him to do that. A lot of the guys ive seen Sunny fight havent had nearly the footwork Bam has and hene havent had that ability to cut the ring off against him. I then think Bam will look to counter and particular utilise loopy shots to counter some of those excessive movements Edwards tends to do some which have left him open and gotten him clipped before. I think Sunny will have some effectiveness pot shotting early on but after 3 4 rounds the fight will swing to Bam as the pressure and volume increases. From their i further see Bam really working the body to break him down and stop him in the latter half of the fight. Thats just my thoughts personally best of luck to both men.

I have been waiting for this match for 2 years now.. These styles are so opposed... historically the boxer like Sonny has an advantage over a boxer puncher like Bam For Sonny to win ..he needs to start early like he usually does but he needs to hurt bam.. if they fight gets in to the second half...the conditioning of bam will shine For bam to win.. he needs to pace himself without getting hurt and getting dome body punches in.. bam needs to put Sonny down... Though the later rounders favor bam... Sonny if hes won the majority of the early rounds... He can stay defensive and potshot.. Yes the fight is practically in bams back yard but Sonny has a better chance at winning through a negative style versus yrying to knock bam out

Sunny doesn't have the power to keep Bam off of him. I'm sure he's going to avoid a lot of shots like he always does but that can only go on for so long. Late round Ko or tko by Bam.

I suspect Sunny will end up looking like Josh Kelly....when he stepped up competition. NB:Kids the world over are trying to copy Loma, of all the fighters influenced by Loma I feel Bam is the closest in emulating the sublime skills of the Ukrainian wizard.
