Hopefully we are DONE with the nasty cicadas! Jesse, who was born blind and has autism spectrum disorder, has extreme sensory issues with solid foods, so we were shocked to have her try (and successfully consume) solid foods on two occasions this week! The family heads out on an afternoon excursion to visit some small businesses on the outskirts of our area. We support our independent small businesses! It’s so refreshing to see a NORMAL family vlogging channel. No outrageous pranks or scripted vlogs or showing off of your “perfect” life. I hope you reach your goal of 100k subscribers and beyond. I’m so glad that she’s eating better. Maybe this is the start of a new beginning with her eating. I’m legally blind, so I didn’t like to eat a lot when I was little, either. I think I eat pretty normally now, even though I don’t eat a lot. I know that it can be difficult, especially with the sensory issues that come into play. We’re trying to get my little brother to eat better. It’s a long process, but we are working towards that goal. Thank you again for all that you do as a family. It’s so cool to see how your family works. Thank you for sharing a little bit of your life with us.

i’m also autistic and have sensory issues with food those costco meatballs, cheerios and ginger cookies are some of my safe food staples. so glad they work for jessie too!

I live in a small town, so we tried to support small businesses, too. A lot of places have closed, but I think that some will reopen soon. I really think that the stuff inside small businesses is really cool because it’s unique. There’s this place in a city near us that has a lot of handmade stuff. I really like stuff like that because you can’t find it anywhere else. Thank you for supporting small businesses. It’s always hard for them to make enough money, but it’s even harder now. I hope that things will get better for them. A lot of places in malls are closing. For the ones in my town, I hope it’s just a side income.

This channel makes me unbelievably happy! Karen, I certainly cried when Jessie ate those meatballs, then I DEFINITELY also cried when she ate the cookie! I’m so glad she is seeming to enjoy them too! I love that she put out her hand when the others got things, shows that she listens and understands and isn't just in her own world which it often seems like for me watching atleast, though maybe she's lot more avare than she sometimes seems like I'm sure her parents know better. It's great to see her make progress.

Jessie - OMG that was amazing seeing her consuming some good food! I remember when she got into that broccoli cheese soup. Hooray for her eating meatballs and ginger cookies. Karen - I love your decorating taste. Pillows are super cute and that table!!! But I have to say the most exciting part of this whole video was seeing you get a chance to go shopping for the first time in forever. I understand. My parents had a health food shop for around 12 years but when a big supermarket moved in, we couldn't compete with the prices and sadly we had to sell. Even now, I try to support small businesses and I will admit, at times I've bought and I could of gotten cheaper elsewhere but it makes me happier knowing my pennies go a long way with these small guys... I just loved watching this video so many great things happening! Way to go Jesse that's awesome! I could feel how happy you were for Jesse! You just are the sweetest parents to your extremely lucky handpicked children! Bethany looks wonderful with her ponytail and showing her beautiful face! I feel the same way about all of the small businesses they need all of our support after all they have taken the biggest hit from the pandemic. So many haven't been so lucky to have made it through its heartbreaking. Most of the businesses in our country are the small businesses I know I am more than happy to support them.I can not say it enough.. Karen and Joe I just love watching your amazing family! May God continue to bless you all!

That Jessie made my breath stop! I didn't want a peep to sound and mess her up. Thank you for the reminder on small businesses. I enjoy those a lot...much more quaint than the big box stores. Bethany steals my heart with her servanthood. She is so giving. Her parents have been great examples! The coffee tables are perfect! Have a super week and maybe a picnic will happen soon.

I totally agree with you about supporting small businesses. Sure nowadays it's often easier and cheaper to buy on the internet om sites like Amazon. Not saying at all I'm against buying online, lots of small businesses you can support through online too. But I personally like too as much as I can support small and local business and encourages others to do too. I like that you know where your money goes and it's to support that business or family (if it's a family who owns it). I like to see the things I buy too, I think it's easier to see if something actually fits your home, you can get some inspiration too. I really hate when people go to stores and try out things and then go and buy the stuff cheaper on like Amazon instead (if you can afford it). I personally feel at least if you have money that you have sort of a duty to support your local community (that's just how I feel). And so happy you got Jesse to try different food, you work so hard with her so every small progress must feel amazing, specially as she difficulties with food.

Have you ever considered co-writing an autobiography, or a memoir? It could be an interesting legacy for any grandchildren who come along (Although, they probably wouldn't believe a fraction of it, considering how crazy your lives have been).

I love the ending song but after today's vlog it was bittersweet hearing the "every change has a reason..." because I knew it was coming to an end. :( I loved being able to see Jessie girl making multiple strides, Hannah being lovely as always, Bethany looking so adorable with her hair up!!!, and seeing everybody go out and get nice little treats. This video was such a treat! I love you all! Keep on being great hehe

How wonderful! Had me crying too! Whenever my daughter eats something new I'm so proud and want to call from my roof top! It's such a big thing, celebrate the little things as they come, I find it helps on the the not so great days. 🤗❤️

Gosh you made me happy just being so happy I love watching you guys haven't been on in a while been pretty sick but I'm starting to feel better and I'm ready to watch so keep posting cuz I really enjoy watching and I'm glad you got out today and those pillows are adorable and I'm so happy that she ate something the look on your face is priceless look forward to seeing you next time
