It's so awkward most koreans never heard her old songs while we international fans heard those songs back in 2008 looool. They should srsly be grateful that Jessi had us , korean fans hatef fierce female singers back in the day, so, many acts died without rising to fame , jessie stayed bcuz she worked hard to get fans who would stick by her side bcuz of who she is. I'm glad she has korean fans now tho

crazy thing about UPRS was that there was virtually no script. the drama formed due to high tension and thats how it ended up. the way i see it based on what she has said on the matter on her eric nams podcast, jessi filmed the show at a point in her life when she was ready to give up on music and go back home again. she didn’t even want to be there but had it in her mind that she would still work hard on the show no matter what. she was really friendly and cordial with basically everyone although she didn’t care for lil cham from the start. its not that the drama started on purpose, the tension was high due to the stressful manner of the filming due to there being little script and long hours of filming. the high tension is what led to the improv diss. she felt disrespected because the judgement for the mission was supposed to be based on performance and not teamwork or attitude, and that was the point where she decided to say fuck it and said her piece. it was really fate that she still ended up being the star of the show while not achieving first place. i think even at that time there was a lot of shock, there were also people who saw the real jess shine through, a very human, straightforward, and bold character displayed on korean television which is rare. it was too shocking for many people as well, but i think she won many of those people over eventually too, because her charms and sweet personality are hard to deny! one thing unpretty made clear is jess is that this was a person who studied and loved music, rnb,hiphop, and kept pursuing even as she thought she reached her limit multiple times. her sucess story is truly amazing

I just want to share how I got to know about Jessica Ho who now goes by JESSI.. lol Many many many years ago we had to download our songs, no Spotify which I can’t believe I’m even paying for... and I wanted to download Ciara’s 1,2 Step (really showing my age here), and so you searched the song on kazaa or something and you download it. Sometimes you’d get viruses and whatnot LOL. Welp I thought I dl’d ciaras song but somehow it was Jessica H.O’s 1,2 Step and that’s how far back it was. By the time I searched her up bc the song sounded so good and sweet, she had a “scandal” because she “badmouthed” BoA at the time (think Jay Park / 2PM on a lower scale).. eventually I saw her again on SMTM and she’s been on the up and up since then... her voice is different now but she’s definitely very very talented. I just felt the need to put this out in the universe lol. And her taste in men, Jungkook? 😘✨💜
