It's something in our culture. Since this is a nationally televised show, there are laws to protect minors (ie. Blurring out knives or guns in action) it's not something to restrict the artist as much as something to protect youths until they get to the age where they can decide for themselves (and to protect artists from prejudice from older generations before they get to try their music)
