Jessi is Korean but grew up in New Jersey, and she’s got that big Jersey Attitude, which I think Korean music needed.

Jessi for sure isnt the typical Korean - at least in the industry. I love her "I dont give a shit" attitude. You can see in her her western/american side as well. The mixture is great and if you ask me really much needed in the kpop industry.

I do love jessi she is my queen. She is the woman i wanted to be. She doesn't care what other people say to her as long as she is doing what she love to do. Aside from being a great singer and a rapper, being straightforward, so much swag that i love the most of her. She is my top list artist aside from bts.

Jessi was a backup singer with Yoon-Mi Rae group "Uptown" back in the 90's. Yoon going later to form MFBTY. Probably the most influential group in Korean Hip-hop hands down!! Yoon took care of Jessi back when she was 15 & was like a big sister to her. There is a reason why she is savage as F**. You learn from the best you tend to be the best, just saying. You should definitely listen to some of her ballads. Jessi has a VERY good singing voice. She used to be in a group called "Lucky J". Please, give it a go! I promise you won't be disappointed. Also, I've just subscribed so idk if you ever heard of Mamamoo and Hwasa in particular, but they are amazing. Icons. Legends. P.S.: the dancers is a dance crew called LACHICA. They participated in the dancing show called "Street Woman Fighter". Dope one.
