It's impossible not to love Jessica Pegula. She is such a friendly and claasy player. She truly is awesome player and she and Iga Swiatek are truly the best players on tour. They adapt to conditions and to their opponents better, have better and more consistent serve and returns than their opponents etc etc. Well done Jessica Pegula. After 0:3 in last year's WTA Finals, Pegula reached Final and only lost to a player who almost never loses in Finals of any tournament - Iga Swiatek.

Widziałaś uścisk Swiątek i Sabalenki w półfinale??? To zobacz i przestań gadać głupoty.

Rybakina and Ostapenko are one slam wonders. Period. Besides, where have they been lately?, apparently, they cannot get passed the other players to reach Iga. And Iga is going to beat them the next time she plays. And when she does, she will not look back.

This is quite possibly the weakest era in women's tennis, the amount of bagels and breadsticks between supposedly the best players of world is laughable. World no.1 until today is an error machine, Iga is just an average player in the era of below average player, that's the harsh truth.

She should have never been in the final. It should have been Swiatek and Sabakenka. They both came out on top in their groups. That is the problem with the WTA. They are always trying to promote the wrong players. I do not care how much they try and promote Pegula; she is not going to fill out an arena. The WTA needs to look for leadership that can be fair, rather one who can be bought and sold. It was a packed house with Sabalenka and Swiatek. That means these are the players the spectators are going to spend their money to see. Period.
@SuperJeff12258 ай бұрын
I guess your forgot all about the US Open where Gauff defeated the person that beat Swiatek AND Sabalenka to win the trophy.
@alfredovelasco29778 ай бұрын
Seems like you didn’t follow this tournament at all … Jessy came out on top of her group , she was unbeaten , and she beat Sabalenka in the RR , do not make comments if you dont have facts !!
@mythical17218 ай бұрын
Pegula hadn’t even dropped a set in this tournament until the final, even after playing other top 4 players like Rybakina, Gauff and Sabalenka. I don’t think the final would have been much different if it was Swiatek vs Sabalenka (Swiatek convincingly won against her in the semis anyway). Especially when you’re off the back of a 1000 tournament win and won half your round robin sets in 6-0 or 6-1. Compared to Sabalenka, who won against Sakkari only because Muchova wasn’t there to defeat her (like she has both times they played this year), and needed 3 sets to beat Rybakina
@hugbow8 ай бұрын
What an ass. Pegula earned her way to the final, beating Sabalenka and the others in her group. No player is at the top of his or her game in every outing and earning your way to a major final is not, nor should it be, a matter of who "is going to fill out an arena." Criticism such as yours is just disgusting and irrelevant.
@Jack-tn8im8 ай бұрын
The bigest beatdown in the final ever.The final should be Iga vs Sabalenka.
