I love when people cry when they sing their sad songs, it just shows how human they are, and you get to see a little bit of the real person underneath.

It's was hard for me when I heard about their divorce , sad . . . even though nick and Jessica moved on with their lifes ,I ask myself why they didn't try hard to make it work . . that deep love they shared . . Is unforgettable. . They should of had kids . . . They be together today. . .

@@lizzieball3795 she was immature coz she got married at only 22 when things were just starting for her. She was a rising star alongside Britney, Christina and Mandy when she got married in 2002. Remember that they all came out in 1999? So roughly 2-3 years after being launched, she was just too busy with her successful career to begin a married life with Nick. After they got married, Nick no longer appeared with 98° that often so mainly it was Jessica who really worked hard for them. Jess may have been immature at that moment but I saw how she loved Nick in her own way... She gave him the world! All his birthday celeberations, their anniversaries and all... It was more on Jessica who made the efforts to make things sweeter for them but all that Nick did more often that time was to be unappreciative. Calling his then wife names like dumb, spoiled brat and others. If I were Jess, I would have also lost my love for Nick.

I dont think people should be being rude in their comments! This is a powerful song and she is being so strong to get up there and perform. People need to realize that she has gone through such an emotional time but she remains faithful to her fans..and even the pain she feels inside she still gets up and performs. I love Jessica. She is a strong, beautiful woman.

Poor girl. For those of you making fun of her for crying...just because she's a celebrity doesn't mean she's not a real person. She's experienced pain and heartbreak the same way I'm sure most of us have at some point in her lives. Crying is a natural reaction to those feelings. She's human. This video made me wish I was there so I could give her a hug.

I think its beautiful that jess shows that, unlike MOST ppl in hollywood, SHE IS REAL AND SHE IS HUMAN!!! It has nothing to DO with professionalism. There is not a girl on the planet that can say that there wasnt a song at one point in their lives that made them emotional! Jessica Simpson is one of the sweetest girls there is and i really wish everyone would leave her alone before she really breaks down...

@kmskms93 yes, she actually talked about it before singing this song. I don't see why she left him if it hurts her this much. she obviously crushed him too. Listen to his album and you'll hear it all. his entire album is about her.

I think she realized what she had thrown away.....when it was already too late and he had moved on w someone else. She was immature and let her dad steer the relationship into the ground.She was immature and was ungrateful for her relationship w Nick. Then reality hit her like a ton of bricks when she realized he had moved on.Anyone who hasn't made these devastating mistakes in their lives should thank God everyday. If I could go back and change anything about myself it would be that I would have been able to appreciate kindness and love and felt worthy of receiving it and reciprocation.

@@lizzieball3795 Jessica had been emotionally battered by Nick too. Watch the Newlyweds episodes so you could understand. She gave Nick the world. She may not be good at doing household stuff in her younger years but man! She was the breadwinner between her and Nick! She was an A List celebrity! Nick was just a well known person but he ain't busy with work while Jess had concerts, movies, tons of guestings, albums, make up and hair line (early days of Jessica Simpson business empire) and a whole lot of things going on for her! She made sure that Nick's birthdays and their anniversaries will always be special and Nick didn't even appreciate those thoughtfulness from his then wife. All Nick did on the show was to make fun of Jessica, call her spoiled brat and some other things. Jessica had been fed up. That's it.

Lizzie Ball I honestly believe they BOTH felt and feel this way... I’m happy to see them both “happy” but it begs the question when you hear them talk about each other.. he married because it was “the thing to do” because he was already entertaining Vanessa before their divorce and She has married and called her hubby her “addiction”... neither is healthy. But all we can do is pray they are truly with who they should be with ... I think the whole world was crushed. Still feel it all these years especially listening to her book!

I feel that, it's so deep and feels like your belly is fallin. . Wish I could hung her it's hard picture the man you love with another woman. But when they prefer it and talk about what they know pretty much killed every bit of love inside you and nothin a man can tell her once it's done to remove the dark scared locked up part of you that damaged and scared.

That is so sad! I never saw this on tv but just watching these few moments had me tearing up too just like the audience. Ive been in her shoes. Loving some one so much that it hurts and when it ends, well its devastating & heartbreaking. I sing for a living here locally in my city & Ive cried during the middle of songs that have meaning to me as well. Be it someone elses song, or one Ive written myself. Its hard. I applaud her for trying!!

You have to remember that above all else this was a relationship that ended..it is always sad, no matter who ends it and for what reason. This touches people just because most of us have been there and felt this same way.
