@@JessicaBeautician i'm considering going vegeterian. Cheese is too good!
@JessicaBeautician4 жыл бұрын
@Lorn Warbler Cheese used to be my favourite food but I could never imagine eating it again. The machines used to milk cows aren't designed to just extract the milk, they extract all bodily fluids including puss (there are around 750 million puss cells per litre of milk), bovine, urine, blood and feces. It also contains Casein, a protein found in milk, which encourages the calves to drink and is what makes humans addicted to cheese, ice-cream etc. Not to mention that calves are torn from their mothers at birth, shot in the head if they're male and used for veal meat or become dairy cows later destined for slaughter if female, so that humans can take the milk for dairy products. Oat, almond, coconut, rice etc. milks are so much more delicious than drinking someone else's bodily fluid. And vegan cheese is delicious, just find one you love as they're all different! It was so easy for me to give up - I suggest watching a few documentaries if you're considering giving up animal products: 'The Best Speech Ever' on KZfaq is a great one, as well as 'Forks Over Knives', 'What The Heath' and 'Cowspiracy' all on Netflix :-)

I suggest starting with vegetarian then move onto vegan. If you are a meat lover. I absolutely hate the taste of meat so I’ve almost always been vegetarian. @@lilesal5214 Thanks for sharing!! I'm not sure I'm necessarily a meat 'lover', but i do consume a lot of fish and dairy products which is where my challenges would be I think. I think one of the reasons sushis don't often find their way into lunchboxes is that refrigeration affects the texture of the rice, but heating them up isn't really an option. If you have a fairly warm fridge like those found in restaurants you could pull it off, but conventional household fridges do a disappointing job of keeping sushi. If you're packing them up on the same day you're eating them though they are indeed quite delightful :)

what I enjoy about your videos is the reusing of items, that certain ingredients make comebacks throughout the week, not a lot of "meal prep" channels I've seen have such versatile meals that you do while using similar ingredients- if anything its a huge shopping list for each individual day but you... kudos, I loved how you utilized leftovers

These might sound like ridiculous questions but here it goes: 1. How much tofu do you eat in a week? 2. Do you find it more expensive to buy vegan/vegetarian food products than “the usual” or is it about the same? 3. When you switched to being vegan, did your body react negatively at some point or did you adjust pretty easily/quickly? 4. How often do you go buy groceries in a week? And is it in huge bundles or just (almost always) a couple of things?
@lilesal52144 жыл бұрын

I know because I lived in Turkey for almost 3 years - there weren't any vegan options there. Vegan bacon was delicious!! I subbed the coconut honey with brown sugar and didn’t have liquid smoke but it still turned out fantastic.

Glad you loved it! If you have smoked paprika, that would work great as a replacement for liquid smoke if you make it another time :-) Thanks for watching! X

I absolutely love the Eat Real hummus & lentil chips & they’re £1 cheaper in Aldi or Lidl than Asda. I’m not paying £1:89 for something when i can get them for 89p.

have you tried to Aldi own brand one? It's got less fat in it and it's just as lovely!

Ah thank you - I'm so glad you think so, that's all I want to do with these videos as I think the best way to encourage others to go vegan is by showing how delicious vegan food can be :-) X

These all look lovely! It's good to mention the fact that avocado contains 300+ calories per fruit. This is because it is high in fat, and a gram of fat gives 9 calories. The first lunch ends up being 700+ calories. Typically bodies gain the "fullness feeling" from volume, and not calories so anyone could easily eat this. From experience I know the chips are super light. This may work for some people, but others not! Just a thing to keep in mind while meal prepping for the day.

Drop the calorie counting Friend it will lead you nowhere, trust me. Just eat plant-based and listen to your body!

@@alliecravulz I'm a nutrition student, I know it's not good to calorie count to a T. However, it is good to be aware of how energy dense they are as people assume fruit is very low. Which is my point. But thanks.

@@alliecravulz Haha! Avacado oil actually isn't very popular amongst people in my area, I'm sure many others. A lot of my friends don't know what macros even are. It surprises me, for sure. People should get to know a little more about health related things.
