My mac salad is very similar! I use the same macaroni, mayo, vinegar, sugar, salt and pepper, and my add-ins are the grated onion, hard-boiled eggs, finely chopped celery and finely chopped bell peppers in all the colors 😊 I'll have to try the shredded carrots too!

Great recipe. I live in Maryland and my parents are from the south. We make macaroni salad similarly. We use Miracle Whip for the sweetness and my mom used sweet pickles chopped up because pickle relish pieces were too small and a few dashes of hot sauce. Also, mix the all the ingredients together with the chopped vegetables and then fold into the soft cooked macaroni.
