Bagstock is not joking around when they say this is an every day bag! This beautiful tote is large enough to hold all the things, has a beautiful zipper on top to keep them all contained, and a simple yet chic design on the exterior. I absolutely adore this pattern, and I think you will too!

Hi Jess! 😍 I made this with the foam but was thinking of switching it up on my next bag. What are your thoughts on using decovil heavy on the sides of the bag? Would that be too stiff or heavy?
@sherib6261
@sherib6261 3 жыл бұрын
@@dgooden8483 did you try this? How was it? I've thought of using the heavy too.
@sherib6261

I'm still having issues figuring out the main dimensions. Following the pattern and not making any changes, I have a chunky purse. Tried to increase both sides and center and its too big. I'm now on bag #3. We'll see how this looks. I've also been wondering how it would be to add a center divide in the liner. Any thoughts?
@dgooden8483
@dgooden8483 3 жыл бұрын
@@sherib6261 no I haven’t tried the heavy yet. My bag didn’t look as thin and polished as hers, so I’m going to try the heavy with some nicer vinyl, waiting for it to come in. I’m going to omit the middle panel and make it all the same material for a simpler look. Wish me luck
@dgooden8483
@dgooden8483 3 жыл бұрын
@@sherib6261 I followed directions and my center panel ended up wider than Jess’ and my side panels smaller. Going to count the squares for the finished front panels and make adjustments accordingly. A center divider sounds great but might not work as well with the recessed zipper? Are you using the soft and stable foam by Annie? I used the Pellon foam on another bag and it turned out chunky.

I did this bag today! I had to wait for a few things I ordered so I could do it all at once. I only had an issue with the distance between the handles and my foot for topstitching so I will have to move mine down 1/2" so I can accommodate the foot so my topstitching can be accomplished better. This bag is HUGE and my poor Bernina 770 QE wasn't thrilled with it but I got it - Thanks for the video made a big difference and love the zipper panel and the Rivet press is da bomb!! Pic to come! Jess you are an awesome 👌 teacher ❤. I think it would help when you are talking about the different pieces also show on the bag where those pieces go, sometimes there are so many pieces i just get lost trying to follow throughout. Thank you so much for your teaching

:-D I love your mum's attitude! So right! The bag and tutorial amazing as always! I need a laptop bag for our trip to Italy and this is going to be spot on! I will use canvas for this though.

Well I followed your video Jess and after 14 hours and many many bad words, it’s done. I do like the pattern, next time no vinyl! I’m sticking to WPC and cotton. Thank you for your video!
