Thank you for listening to my testimony! I share how a deep root of rejection, longing for acceptance and unconditional love, led me into a cycle of sexual sin and deep insecurity.
It wasn't my intention to do an episode on the podcast exploring my own story, in truth ten episodes wouldn't be enough to accurately share the multiple victories I've experienced as a follower of Jesus! But I'm grateful God warranted me to share some of my journey. I hope it encourages someone to say "Yes" to Jesus and start their journey to freedom. God's love is able to cover every sin and break every cycle!

This is soooo me...at 37yrs. When a guy says you beautiful it is easy for me to slip with them. I jus decided last week that this is ENOUGH!! I WANT SOMETHING BEST 4 MY FUTURE. Jus started fasting n m scared that id mess it up. But iv had enough of myself hate. Thank you soooo much for letting me know am not an evil person n i am goin to overcome this self hate once snd for all through Jesus

You will overcome it through Christ, and always remember that God loves you more than any of the people you have slept with, It's a difficult road but you will get through and the peace and love that God gives is unmatched and all worth it All the best 🤗

Dear sister, you have a community of women praying with nand for you. You will overcome. And, whenever you feel your strength waning, please read Hebrews 12:22-24 and meditate on it. "You have come to Mount Zion."

Thank you for your testimony I realized that i used to feel used by men and would feel shame and inadequate...but since o have my life to God, if i sin i just feel conviction and my feelings aren't cotrolled by some random guy Thank you for the train ride part, it resonates with most

Thank you for sharing and being vulnerable. Currently I'm single and celibate but I started dating in my late teens and I remember being ashamed of being a virgin because the first guy I dated told me he was cheating on me because we weren't having sex. I also couldn't differentiate between a man that loves me and a man that just wanted me in his bed because I wasn't picking people based on God's word and the Holy spirit guiding me but based on what I liked and thought was good for me. It destroyed my self esteem, after some failed relationships even my own sister in a fit of anger tells me how men only want me for sex and that statement stayed with me for so long tormenting my sanity and making me even more devalued but yhooooo. God came through for me in such an amazing way because the healing the Lord has done in my soul humbles me. I feel so humbled by God's love and forgiveness. All this while I have been protected by the Lord and I'm so grateful now for all my experiences because everything I went through allowed God to be exalted in my life. Glory be to God. Amen

Hi! Rebuilding low self-esteem is quite layered. I'm no expert by any means, but in my experience, it is important to identify the root causes of that low self-esteem. You may realise certain individuals, environments, past events have contributed. There may be need for practical changes, forgiveness etc. But also, a deeply personal, inner work needs to take place with the Father in prayer and in His Word. Address every lie with God's Truth as confirmed by His Word and Holy Spirit. For example if you struggle with low self-esteem especially around your physical appearance, then Psalm 139 would be a great passage to meditate over as you pray for God's healing - He says I am fearfully and wonderfully made, every feeling of "ugliness" is a lie! I hope that helps 🙏 🥰
