Jesus making reference of himself that he was not alone, implies to me, that while he was human at the same time he was also more than human, where whilwle being a man he also had a divine existence which was united with his sinless humanity. I do not think the context of that verse inferences another person. He was human enough to even speak of another without referring to someone else.

Guess who was the walking word? Jesus Christ, the One that was to come. You had to accept him if you considered yourself a servant of the Most High, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. The book of genesis 18 clearly states that Abraham met God. Which means that God took on flesh to meet him and eat with him. If you want to confirm it look at the 22nd verse there it states that the 2 angels left towards sodom and Abraham stayed with God and they continued their discussion. If you may opt to read further you may notice that God on earth tells Abraham that he will tell God in heaven to rain fire and Sulphur on Sodom. For starters the verse doesn't indicate that idea nor does the continuous context of the son being a distinct self from the father support that interpretation. It only magnifies the unity they have in relationship. And context tells us this, the Greek for "seen" in the context of the verse is different from visual sight and is actually referring to a perceived knowledge. Jesus is saying he knows the father personally and if you know christ you know the father. Of course this is a strong testimony to divinity because it echoes jn 1:18" the only God, who is at the fathers side, he had made him known".

You just described modalism, not the Trinity. I do these videos because I know a lot of people have the same misunderstanding that you just described. I used to believe this until someone explained to me what the Scriptures actually reveal about God’s nature.

That’s a heresy called modalism and has been refuted waaaay back in the early church. God doesn’t have three “modes.” God is three Persons! To misunderstand this is to misunderstand why Jesus’ incarnation and sacrifice was necessary and sufficient. Good resources to start thinking about this is the book of Hebrews (the reason that Jesus is the perfect sacrifice is because He IS God) and the book “On the Incarnation” by Saint Athanasius (which talks about why God becoming man was important and shapes our theology. St. Athanasius was writing to the early church in part to stop the spread of false heresies like modalism!).

It’s better to say distinct than “separate” because separate would insinuate multiple gods. John 1 refers to Jesus as the Monogenes Theos in the Greek which translates to only Begotten God. The rules of Greek grammar used in this chapter also make the distinction between Father and Son. It’s the predicate nominative structure that solidifies both Jesus and His Father are equally God and yet distinct in personhood. I recommend you read James White’s book called “The Forgotten Trinity.” It’s super helpful. 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾

The Bible does not say that you will or will not be saved on the basis of whether you believe that God is a trinity or not. What it does say is required is faith in Jesus’ redemptive sacrifice and repentance. There has always been debate over specifics in Gods Word among God’s people. First among the Jews and then among first Christians and all the way down to today. We all agree that there is one true God. That Jesus was the promised Messiah. That Jesus died to pay our debt for our sin. These fundamental teachings are clear in the Bible and those things that are less clear are understood differently and I don’t believe that a person’s personal understanding on these debated teachings will be the determining factor upon which God judges someone. He will save who He will save and it’s not our place to determine that. We can simply share the word of God and pray that it reaches people’s hearts. The rest is up to their personal relationship with their Heavenly Father.

@@LionNotWolf Trinitarians ignore the strict guidelines of the Shema. They ignore the fact that God created the world alone. They ignore what son means, and ignore what father means. They also choose what 'one' means as they see fit. The trinity is a mind virus and it takes a lot of intellectual work, research and investigation to undo all the common interpretations of the classic trinitarian passages. They also overshadow the message of the gospel, being the kingdom of God, first told to Abraham back in Genesis. The promise made to Abraham was to walk the world forever, the same place the kingdom of God is set up. It's the same faith and hope that Abraham has. Trinitarians are so focused on Sola Fida, or 'faith alone' in Christ, that they've missed the gospel all together, which is the kingdom of God. My notifications are full of attacks from trinitarians calling me blasphemous and that I need to repent. I spent weeks and months looking at the trinity, in fact I still look in to it. I pray every day for guidance, for truth, for it to be placed on my heart. Yet I'm the one that needs to repent. It does hurt and makes me sad to see my brethren attack me without asking questions. You're claiming that CHRIST is a blasphemer when you say that HE shouldn't be worshipped and blaspheming as well . John 5 : 23 tells us that JESUS said to honor HIM as we honor THE FATHER . You need to pay attention to what this young lady is saying .
