This is the most comprehensive digestible lesson on this solo I’ve seen anywhere. Great breakdown!

Thanks - this is a great transcription and demo of a Revd Gibbons classic. You’ve captured all his bends and nuances. Very authentic.

Man, you're the best teacher I never had.

I never thought of sus-ing the C chord in the first position. I’ve always gone up and played that hinge bar on 5 to 7th fret. Cool!

Thanks! I like the optional position. I learned it with the A string dropped to a G

Thanks so very much...your style of teaching really suits me as a piano man in my 50's - calling out the notes really is helping to learn the fretboard. Cheers from Seattle! I noticed that you don't anchor your picking pinky... Is that the best way to go?
@LEADSOLO3 жыл бұрын
I never gave a seconds worth of thought to what my picking hand pinky is doing. I would say whatever comes natural for you is the best way ☺️

Depends on the song... The SG is still around for sure!

Great vid. On the A to C there is no walk strait A to C.

Nice teaching. Question if you see this post- what pickups in each position? Thnx
@LEADSOLO2 жыл бұрын
I don't remember but I'm pretty sure it would be the two or four position...ie the bridge and middle pickup together or the neck and middle pickup together. I almost never use one single coil when you get such a nice strat sound with the two.
@MirurImage2 жыл бұрын
Pretty sure the album rhythm is recorded in open G. Glad to see the standard tuning version though.
@LEADSOLO2 жыл бұрын
Funny you say that because I thought the same thing but didn't think people wanted to tune for that or it was that big of a deal. But then after a while I felt I had to show that version too so I did. You can see it here. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/sJemYMWHxLzdk6s.html
Yes in this version. I have another where I drop the a string down to g. If you're not sure about the tuning just play along. After you get as close as you can in tune with my guitar, it will become obvious if there's any open tuning. When I figure out songs by ear that is how I determine it.

Great lesson. I would suggest sitting for lessons so you don't move the guitar around so much. I'm getting seasick.
