This video actually sparked something within me. If Jesus was simply a mere man, born in a stable, to poor as dirt parents, of no social class and not attractive, and he still performed “miracles”, lived such an admirable life by all accounts, stood up to those in absolute control, and died a wrongful death for his cause. This mere man single handed my changed the world more than empires.

@@lightningmcqueen1717 Okay, look. I think that god and what god you support is actually entirely subjective. Like, some people need a god that is similar or alike to them. If you know the book The Secret Life of Bees, the virgin mary was black, because the sisters needed a god that looked like them and that they needed to connect to. So I think what connection you have and what you spiritually believe is entirely subjective. I think if you are trans and you want to believe your version of God or Mary or Jesus is also transgender, I think that's entirely subjective. Folks express their religion differently as the God we see is more of a symbol of morals and spiritual connections. But we also don't have established proof that Mary is trans, so saying it like it's a specific fact is different.

I’m a newbie to your channel! And I love you! I am a totally straight white female, AND I am all fully Christian (Southern Baptist, even😳). While I obviously don’t align with your beliefs of Jesus and God, I very much appreciate your concept of them, and I respect the fact that you have so much concern and love for all of humanity itself that you took time to contemplate the ideas and theology and apply it in a beautiful where everyone is covered by the love of God. And it’s true, we are all under God’s love everyday of our lives, no matter sex, gender, race, sexual preference or identity. It is so sad that all “believers” in Christ are seen as people who hate LGBTQ+, but most of us don’t hate… the true message of what Christ means to a persons life needs to only be shared thru loving each and every person and casting away all judgment. Shouting and condemnation of a people never created anything but destruction. We are all mere humans and not one is more righteous than any other. Love your channel. Love your vibe. Love your message. Much much love!

I love this so much. You said it. I am a bi woman. I had to have a hysterectomy 5 years ago due to PCOS. I had issues with taking hormones to help my body. Because my body could no longer produce estrogen like it did before, some "friends" no longer friends, told me that I am a trans man. This in itself made me feel it was a possibility. Codependency is an awful thing. I had to work through this on my own to accept myself. Realizing I love being a woman, I seen how it is pushing all biological women into a corner. It is still saying well if you are like this, you have to be this. This agenda, in every aspect it is proving to be an agenda, now makes me feel it is destroying womens rights just to put everyone in a box. Thank you for providing your voice.

I agree with you and I sympathize with you. I'd like to say, though, that this isn't just a women's issue. It affects men too. It's very common for boys and men to have deep issues regarding their sexuality and masculinity following a sexual assault. Also, contrary to popular opinion, the fact is that men have modesty too. We don't necessarily want women in our lockerrooms or restrooms any more than women want men in theirs. The rape threat isn't there, that is true, but the issue of feeling secure and comfortable and not having strangers of the opposite sex watching you while you're doing certain things is felt by guys too.

As someone who has a solid relationship with God and the life of Jesus, I would caution you that this can be just as harmful. The “church” and “religion” is exactly what Jesus was fighting. I and my kids are just as “brainwashed” with the thought of not being judgmental but at the same time “saving” someone from hell (which ultimately is judging). Find someone who loves the life that Jesus led and homeschool and… sit in and learn because God truly LOVES you and me. A great book to understand is actually an NDE biography called “Shine on”. But…all this to say that your children, with the correct knowledge can help shine in whatever school system they are in. Good luck and ask God for direction. 🙏🏼

"I think God is the opposite of suffering. I think God is peace" One of His attributes, per the Bible. He has many others. Much of the suffering dealt out to the people of the Old Testament was due to God's wrath, due to His need for Justice or in response to violation of his Holiness. God isn't a feel good sky genie; anyone ignoring all His aspects is worshipping a god of their own creation.

He was sinless and his life didn't look like the lives of those around him because of this. While he connected personally with many people, he called them our for their sins. Not just those who weren't Jewish, but even those who were. He chose to die on the cross and carry the sins of the world, past present and future. He became alive again is now in with God again. Side note for a someone who doesn't want to be defined by gender norms this person sure loves to define folks by gender norms.

@@Not_Always I think the whole 'God ha is non-binary' is about people thinking that, if we say God is a 'male figure' it means women are worthy less in His eyes. Which is not the truth at all. God as a whole is Them (Father, Son, Spirit). It's 3 in 1. One figure composed of multiple beings. Does God has a gender? No. Why is God a He then? Because He presents Himself as a fatherly figure. @mariaavalon3730
@mariaavalon3730 2 жыл бұрын
@@portofthoughts4477 If Mother Mary is not a Goddess then she is not the Divine Feminine. Now in many ways in Catholicism she is pretty much a non Divine Mother Goddess given all of the titles and iconography and Devotion like classical Goddesses IE Queen of Heaven, Star of the Sea, Seat of Heaven etc but She isn't Divine. At best she is the Abrahamic god's secretary subordinate to her own son. Plus the Abrahamic faiths could have had a Divine Feminine Mother Goddess. Hinduism is more monotheistic then the Abrahamic Faiths and has always recognized the worship of the Mother Goddess. The Shakti sect for instance worships The Divine Mother as Supreme. In fact there were some early Christians like the Syrian Christians that worshiped The Holy Spirit as the Divine Mother in much of the same way Catholics give Mary a human woman Goddess imagery and titles but the Catholic Church persecuted them as heretics and there were Christian heretics like the Collyridians who in fact did worship Mary as God and the Catholic Church put them to the sword too. Plus the major reason for Mary's status in Christianity as basically a non Divine Mother Goddess was due to Pulcheria a Byzantine Empress more concerned with securing her own power. Likewise prior to Christianity the Pagan religions of the time openly worshiped the Mother Goddess and saw her as Divine. In fact The Isis Faith of the Classical world saw Isis as the Supreme Deity and Queen of Heaven and much of Mary's titles, Devotion, imagery and iconography come from Isis and Isis's son Horus was subordinate to Her not the other way around as it is in Christianity ditto to Persephone with Demeter in the Eleusinian Mystery Religion. Plus I would argue in Catholicism that while Mary is atleast officially considered to be conceived without sin that she is a product of sin. Let me explain. What would Mary have been if neither Adam nor Eve ate the apple. She wouldn't have been. Because if that happened there would have been no need for Jesus's incarnation or Dying on the cross as a sacrifice for human's sins. Of course in Christian theology Jesus would exist as the second person in the trinity but he would have no need to incarnate. Mary herself would be no one special. Because if everyone was sinless she wouldn't be. Her entire purpose of existing was just to give birth to Jesus in a fallen world. Had the original sin not happened if Mary was even incarnate she would have most likely never become the Mother of God and Queen of Heaven and the psuedo Goddess of Catholicism she would be just another woman. So really The Original Sin was the best thing that could happen to Mary. She shouldn't be upset with the serpent and trying to crush him because without that Serpent she would have never had her crown.

To be accused of that for not keeping up with social justice semantics-especially when it’s not across -the-board, as bio male is how I’ve seen many trans women describe their biology-made me want to throw up.

This is my #1 issue with the left. They aren't consistent. When someone isn't consistent, then I question their sincerity. I cannot believe that a term that everybody knew and used all their lives without complaint suddenly became so terribly offensive that it became hate speech somewhere between 2019 and 2020. I just can't bring myself to believe that it isn't actually driven by a desire for power. There are certain words, like the N word, that are legitimately hateful words to use, words that have a long and ugly history behind them. "Biological man" and "biological woman" aren't in that category. Trying to force them into that category overnight strikes me as an attempt to cash in on the "social value" of the legitimately terrible names so that you can claim persecution and lobby for special treatment. I do not believe anybody of otherwise sound mind has ever committed suicide over being misgendered or being called by last year's accepted label instead of this year's accepted label. I just don't accept that a spoken word has that kind of power. Longterm verbal abuse might, but some label that was perfectly acceptable in 2019 is not causing people to kill themselves in 2020 unless that person is already suffering from mental illness. What's "assigned at birth" isn't gender, it's sex. It's biological. If you want to change your gender later then be my guest. But you weren't "assigned" a sex. It's not something that the obstetrician did to you when you were born. It's no different than recording an infant's weight. You were no more "assigned at birth" a gender than you were "assigned at birth" a body weight. It was what it was. If you want to change your gender later, go for it. If you also want to have reassignment surgery and change your sex later, again go for it. But don't try to retroactively change reality. You were born one sex, the other sex, or intersex and that's just how nature works.

I had an argument with a cousin and friend of mine a while back similar to this. I was saying how someone I watched (and a conservative at that, blasphemy) mentioned they felt a lot of marriage issues could be resolved by separating out marriage into a legal portion and a religious portion. So you could get married, and have it be legally binding, but not have to have it be church approved. And then both the religious community SHOULD be satisfied, because the 'sanctity' of marriage as a religion is preserved, but for LGBTQ+ they don't have to be limited by religious beliefs in order to have a legally binding marriage. To me, it makes a lot of sense. Then, you can avoid situations where a couple may have issues getting married due to religious beliefs in regards to the legal and actually impacting aspects of marriage. My cousin and friend felt very differently, because their argument was that it's still not "equal". The whole point is to be treated the same. Personally, I think this argument is trash. If you want a religion to accept you, there is no way to force someone to accept everything about you without policing people's thoughts and opinions.

I actually had this thought too. I'm not religious but I was brought up with a Roman catholic family but my mom turned Christian. Anyway, as someone who doesn't practice Christianity I fully support their choice on marriage because that is their religion and beliefs that stemmed from the teachings of holy scriptures and such. I think it would be more narcissistic and bigoted to force a religion, which these people more often then not, do not actively practice but still take over their holiest practices and don't follow their rules for it. And this could be said for any religion not just Christianity. If a binding in name is what these people want then go to the courthouse or find a religion that openly accepts it already, don't go disrespecting someone else's religion and twisting it to fit their own views and then yell at them when they don't want to change their practices. I'm all for anyone getting married or being together. Love is love, but those practices are sacred to many people world wide and hold more meaning than just a ring on their finger to them.
@ebrown6321
@ebrown6321 2 жыл бұрын
I'm confused, there already is a separation between legal and religious marriage. I'm a lesbian who was married in a progressive Christian church. I met the requirements to be married in that church as a member, and also a baptized christian marrying another baptized christian. If I was a random Hindu off the street marrying an atheist of any gender, we would have been denied a religious ceremony there. In many other denominations, we would have been barred for being two women. No religious group is ever forced by the state to perform any marriage rights, they're allowed to have whatever criteria they deem fit.
@ebrown6321
@ebrown6321 2 жыл бұрын
Edit to add: Churches were NEVER going to be forced by the government to do anything they didn't want to do. This was implied by the Christian Right to get their base riled up in opposition to same sex marriage legal rights.
@patrickbarnes9874

I agree with you. A lot of folks who didn't want gay marriage were perfectly happy with civil unions, and those unions carried the exact same status as being married. I believe the people who refused to accept that revealed that they were not, in fact, motivated by equal rights as they claimed to be and were actually motivated by wanting to be thought police. The only difference between civil unions and marriage was a label, it was entirely in the realm of thoughts and feelings. If you refuse to accept having the exact same status as other people and want to force people to use a particular word then you've left the arena of civil rights and entered the arena of thought control. I like the idea of separating marriage into cultural and legal areas. Not only for gay marriage, but for whatever sort of association you want as long as everyone involved is consenting. I don't think legal polygamy is good for society, for example, but I have no problems if consenting adults want to arrange themselves into whatever combination of consenting adults they like and have some sort of cultural ceremony to seal a bond between them.

Well, using a famous quote, "The facts don't care about your feelings". The fact is NB dysphoria doesn't exist by any definition in the scientific and medical community. You can't get any credible psychiatric professional who isn't on the far left to say it does. Most people in the NB community self diagnose and label themselves. They have no medical or psychiatric records to back it up. Do what you feel, but don't try to make the public or the LGBT community accept your fantasy. Absolutely respect your opinion and that it’s incredibly important to read the original translations of the Scriptures, you should watch Dr Heiser’s lectures where he digs deep into the meaning and full context of Scripture and word usage. It is important not to pick and choose scripture that suits you, the plurality between “a son of God” and “the son of God” does not dismantle who Jesus was when you read it together with Old Testament prophesy. I would like to also stress I get what you mean that we have something “divine” but we are not God. Christians identify God as a creator, and a creator would not be contingent on His creation. I think what you probably mean is what Christians understand as the spark of divinity, the Holy Spirit that lives within us. It is important to realize that Christianity is not just a “religion” (in that most people regard it as just a list of rules to follow so that sky daddy isn’t mad, which is incredibly reductionistic) but a full cosmological theology that explains our existence and purpose from a psychological/spiritual and literal sense. When you realize Jesus is actually the Truth, not just an embodiment of it, you will realize He divine Logos took flesh and walked among us. Praying for you Arielle 🙏

All this stuff is crazy. As a gay man in his mid thirties with three toddlers and a husband of 9 years. I am so happy we moved from Hawaii to Arkansas. I am home schooling my kids so we can travel more. I saw this craziness coming and knew from the first date with my husband that I would be home schooling our future children. I made him promise on the first date. Lol. We got married 2 months later. Tough but totally worth it! Why does it have to get so out of control? As a parent I wonder what my kids would have to got through in a school system with people who believe in all this cult like behavior. Hey I am with you on your beliefs too. Peace.

If "the son of God" was confused with "a son of God", then what about the Bible verse that says "for God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son"? Wouldn't that back up the whole "the son of God" thing?

Literally only came here to make that same comment. She sounds really stupid talking about something she knows nothing about. Even if it said "a son of God" that doesn't negate that Jesus was his ONLY son. No one else is referred to as a daughter or son of God, only a CHILD of the lord. Totally different meaning there.

@@Not_Always Actually no other human is referred to as a son of God but there are a number of references to angels as sons of God such as Genesis 6 and Psalm 82 and the Bible does say that believers will be adopted as sons and daughters of God in the future. But that is nitpicking. It's true that she used verses taken out of context to draw incorrect conclusions. I think she didn't do it on purpose, I think she's operating off of information she got second hand.

Even though I don't agree with everything you said or the possibly Christian KZfaqr that was referenced. I think you have a very good "concept" of who God is; regarding relationships. God doesn't need to have sex to create things or the concept of sex to have relationships. Relationship with God has to do with Love, Faith and Obedience. And having good relationships with others is part of Loving God; because we are all part of the family of God. We just have some Black Sheep; that's all. Also, if I understand you correctly; the following verses confirm what you stated about God wanting people to come together rather than be apart: Matthew 5:38-48 says 43 “You have heard that it was said, ‘Love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ 44 But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, 45 that you may be children of your Father in heaven. He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous. 46 If you love those who love you, what reward will you get? Are not even the tax collectors doing that? 47 And if you greet only your own people, what are you doing more than others? Do not even pagans do that? 48 Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect. And these are the words of Jesus. Hope you stay safe and well.

Great commentary, LOVED it. I am an agnostic. I can’t say I am particularly spiritual, but I do think about this stuff and find it very interesting; if I were to believe in something, call it “God” or anything else, I could see myself backing the idea of a “something” beyond human comprehension, in which I could certainly choose to deposit faith, in the interconnectedness of everything, but still with the knowledge that I cannot fully know it or comprehend it, ever. To say otherwise, well, it is a lie. It is faith, not knowledge. The Bible in particular does say that God is unknowable. Even the concept of THAT Bible God is beyond our comprehension, so every other story around IT seems pretty much contradictory, wishful thinking, and make believe. I am fascinated by the Abrahamic religions - mostly horrified lol and most times infuriated by their practitioners, but still can’t help feeling fascinated by their history. I don’t think anyone could just not admire Jesus, not just the one in the Gospels but the historical Jesus whose existence we have come to a pretty broad consensus on (SPOILER ALERT: Jesus of Nazareth was a male and he most likely looked like any Jewish Galilean of his time). I’ve always thought if only Christians were actual followers of that Christ they read about, what a beautiful world. The “Jesus freaks” we have here, as I call them, are the least Jesus-like individuals you could ever meet, each and every time, and I truly mean no disrespect to the historical Jesus with that phrase. Having said that, I honestly cannot believe the “Jesus freak” syndrome has also made its way to the far left woke trans bots!?! but their idea of Jesus is in non-binary terminology!?! And no disrespect to actual transpeople, you know who you are. I was appalled and tickled at the same time while watching those clips. I am not part of the LGBT community but I am a supporter, an ally if you will (though I know NOW that word is pretty tainted). I really feel bad for you guys, having these clowns getting under the same umbrella and misrepresenting y’all like this, pretty much making a mockery of the whole community, after all the work people in this community has and continues to do for so long, for all the right and just things, and then these leeches come along with their crazy woke shit. Tragic. I’d be incensed too. They are not liberals either, this is not what liberalism is about. They are the post-modernist left who live in some insane, erratic, alternative world of racism (they are VERY racist), sexism (they are sexist while in the same breath saying sex isn’t real), inferiority/victimhood complex while at the same time being pathologically narcissistic. They say they are for unity and inclusion and love and for everyone to have a voice, they only keep dividing us, excluding, censuring, and fostering hatred. I truly hope we can see the end of this crazy era. It’s like society can never be at peace.

The travelling Jewish hippy Jesus with a penchant for philosophy and kindness. Is a legitimate, if not the best, inspiring figure to aspire to live like. The biblical gospels overall... Not so much. Nice to see someone else notice this difference. Christianity actually is very UN-christ-like. Considering Christ (Greek Crystos) literally just means the anointed too... After anointing with (Mandrake root among other herbs infused oil. Which would give a degree of meditative and religious experience to ourselves divine the God within us and our connection). Technically, we're all meant to be and are, capable of being 'Jesus'. As embodiment of that archetype (particularly archetype) by our experiences and how we translate that onto our interactions with people and the world. I wish people actually followed Jesus, not the Faith.

That dude is so incredibly so uneducated it actually hurts. Jesus was the only perfect person to ever walk this earth, he was perfectly kind and understanding. You want to call someone uneducated but yet you still don't understand what you're talking about. Jesus didn't struggle with sin because he was perfect he never sinned a day in his life so therefore it is inaccurate to claim that he did. He did technically defeat sin when he died on the cross by making it so that all we had to do to defeat our sin is ask for forgiveness, but that could arguably be more of him defeating the devil (Satan, Lucifer whatever you want to call him)

@@Skyler-wj7fc Yes, Jesus was tempted by sin, while he is the son of God and therefore fully God, he is also fully human. The devil tempered Jesus several times with sin. Jesus Resisted that temptation and never sinned.

While God has no gender, God does present His relationship with humanity as that of a father to his children and I think referring to God as she or they or anything else for political reasons is disrespectful of God's wishes.
