When the flight staffs are unnecessarily rude it's a clear sign that the particular airline is in trouble.

If I paid for Business Class and got an nonworking entertainment system I would be extremely upset.

The seat layout is so fricking awkward and frustrating, everyone passing through can see you just laying down there

If they miss basics such as cleaning & keeping the cabin in good order. I would worry if they had bothered to check and maintain the aircraft engine and safety systems.

It’s a shame. I flew with them in my trip to India couple of times, and they were fantastic. Clearly the management problems have filtered right down to the shop floor.

Amazing how times have changed! These well documented experiences of other travellers is saving others to be cautious when and if they should do business with these companies! This kind of 1st hand andp visual information was literally not possible 9 years back when I took my trip to India via Jet Airways!

I used to travel in Air India, the crew welcomed me with a grin everytime as if "oh not him again." You can see broken seats, window frames coming off, worn out things, etc. However I liked their food everytime.

Even my Indians friends told me not to fly with this airline. 😂😂

I experienced the same situation 4 years back from the crew and from then I stopped taking jet airways ..now the company went into liquidation.

All theses things not working makes me fearful for the overall maintenance and safety!!!

Better than this Business class, we can travel with quite comfortable economy class! That's literally very uncomfortable and compact Business class I've ever seen!

Etihad have basically ruined all the airlines they got involved with including Air Berlin (bankrupt), Baboo (bankrupt), Air Serbia (from legacy to pure LCC), Alitalia (epic failure) and sadly Jet Airways. The Etihad Group is a failed project. There are many more stronger players out there. Aviation business is tough.

Jet Airways was once a great full service airliner. Sad to see it literally going downhill. This video report only confirms the state of affairs at the airline. Hope the consortium of lending Banks will be able to get a good buyer for the airline soon so that it is able to regain its past glory.

I know it’s a bit off topic, but I had to share my ‘nightmare’ business class trip from Sydney to Beijing last month with Capital Airways. When I sat down in my allotted seat and my eyes had adjusted to the gloom in biz class, I realised the interior of the cabin was filthy, ( my forearm stuck to the armrest - I don’t even want to think about what it was ! ) the back of the seats were all torn so all the magazines etc ended up on the floor. I went into the loo and washed and dried my hands ( and ‘that’ arm too ). and sat in my seat again. However, someone must have been watching because I got some moisturiser out of my bag, and applied some to my hands and arms, before I finished a male staff member hurried over and told my husband (but not me) that I shouldn’t use so much of their hand lotion as it can cause allergies. If they were aware of that then why didn’t they remove it ? In any case I used my product, not theirs, which, by the way was a scungy disgusting half empty bottle, for everyone to use. Aside from that the staff all huddled at the front of the cabin and nervously stared at the passengers. Finally I would say - STAY AWAY from Capital Airways - their planes haven’t been cleaned since the Pope was an altar boy. !!!

I think the reason why the ife wasn’t working is because in some airlines in Asia and Europe, whenever they use international planes for domestic routes, they tend to switch off the IFE to save money

I think your video was spot on . I flew Jet Airways from BRU -BOM and had similar experience . Rude and indifferent crew , dirty plane and complete chaos during boarding . Flight itself was uneventful and def memorable for the wrong reasons. Not surprised at their demise .

You need to remember a friendly hospitable crew can make up for even the worst managed and maintained airlines.

Crew threatening passenger with “severe consequences” for filming, wow. Privacy can’t be an argument, because 1) they are watched by hundreds of cameras and satellites once they put their feet out of their home and 2) you blur their faces. The only reason they don’t like cameras is their fear of someone getting their low motivation and lack of customer-orientation on video. People like them can send whole airlines down the gutter, because passengers aren’t fools.

You should have asked to change seats, then afterwards demanded a discount from the airline. Paying for this kind of upgrade is simply unacceptable.

I flew Jet Airways from Brussels to Newark back in 2014 and I thought it was a very decent airline. Economy class though. And I really liked the cabin crew, young nice smiling people.

Haven't flown Jet Airways but flew Air India Delhi to Kathmandu, the food was dried up sandwiches in a box and hot beverages. The ceiling creaked and rattled and leaked water the whole flight. Cabin crew were unfriendly. One of life's experiences but not repeated. Having said that, I'm sure Air India long haul is quite different.

This is probably why an airline that started out as one of the best is now one of the worst and bankrupt! :D

That's pretty much the same experience i had with them from Paris to Bombay. My IFE was working good but therefore my seat wasn't reclining... Their service seem to be very inconsistent with a tendency to the side shown in your video. The BEST airline I have ever flown with was 1st Class on a 747 of Air India. The aircraft was super, the crew amazing and they even provided limo service to my hotel in NY. The in-flight meals were beautiful. I have flown Turkish Air many many times, maybe 30 or 40 times in all classes and I have always been very happy with everything.

Lovely unbiased review. I thought I was the only one who experienced such service in Jet Airways but I'm encouraged to see the reviewer also had the same issue. I made a decision last year to fly less with Jet airways after being treated badly consistently and I'm letting go of my silver status with Jet privilege, who have devalued the miles for redemption by a whopping 100%.

Having flown on Jet multiple times due to work, I can honestly say your review is bang on. It's my least preferred domestic flight,and most of it is due to the crew's attitude. They were 'once' the best airline, waaaaaayyyy back... But they didn't hold on to the edge and just let it deteriorate. Very sad indeed. The food in economy class sucks as well. Referring to your video, I can't imagine having to look at a 'blank wall' for the duration of a flight! At least in economy, the window is next to you and you can look out, at whatever. Anything is better than looking at a blank wall. And your seat looked like a really tight fit. Sorry Jet, but this was a very fair review.
